On the whole, The New York Giants have been a rousing success under rookie head coach Brian Daboll. Daboll transformed the once-derided QB Daniel Jones into a reliable betting on NFL asset. The G-Men are facing a Minnesota Vikings team that broke the Green Bay Packers’ domination of the NFC North. Despite their impressive season, the Vikings are still doubted by countless fans and gamblers. And the Giants have the fundamental approach that could prove perfect for playoff football. Minnesota’s defense reminds nobody of their old Purple People Eaters. And QB Kirk Cousins isn’t trusted.

Giants vs. Vikings CashBet Wagering Analysis
Betting action is going to break evenly in this online sportsbook. Sharps like a vastly improved New York team getting points on the road. The Wise Guys see potential value on Big Blue in that role. Especially when they consider the leaky Viking defense.
On the other hand, Minnesota has proven to be the most resourceful team in the NFL. The Vikings found numerous ways to win in 2022. And they deserve credit for ending the Green Bay Packer dynasty. Casual gamblers will lean to the Vikings as the home chalk.
A Giant Leap Forward in New York
Last game, the New York Giants lost 22-16 against the Philadelphia Eagles as 17-point road dogs. The game went under the Betting on football total of 43.5. New York has a record of 9-7-1 straight up, 13-4 against the spread, and 6-9-2 over/under the total. New York ranks 18th for total offense, 26th for passing, 4th for rushing, and 16th for scoring. Defensively they rank 25th overall, 14th against the pass, 27th against the rush, and 18th for points allowed. Also, New York ranks 2nd for fewest turnovers lost and 27th for takeaways.
Jalen Hurts returned from a sprained right shoulder and threw for 229 yards under a conservative game plan. And then the Eagles clinched the top seed in the NFC with a win over the Giants. Hurts wasn’t asked to do much against New York’s B-team. Specifically, he won without the type of breakout plays that had defined his season. They weren’t needed. But his mere presence was the emotional boost the Eagles needed after the stumbles each of the last two weeks.
Indeed, the Eagles rebounded from two straight losses behind backup QB Gardner Minshew to clinch the NFC East, the top spot in the conference, and home field throughout the playoffs. The team also gets a bye, one more pivotal week of rest for Hurts.
At the beginning, Hurts received a roaring ovation and ”MVP!” chants as he ran out of the tunnel during pregame introductions. The Eagles missed their QB, who had grown into an MVP front-runner. Previously, he was injured on a hard tackle against Chicago. In sum, Hurts was 20-of-35 passing in a game with a preseason feel.
Vikings Respond to Rookie HC Kevin O’Connell
Last game, the Minnesota Vikings won 29-13 against the Chicago Bears as 6.5-point road favorites. The game went under the NFL bets total of 42.5. Minnesota has a record of 13-4 straight up, 7-9-1 against the spread, and 11-6 over/under the total. Minnesota ranks 7th for total offense, 6th for passing, 27th for rushing, and 8th for scoring. Defensively they rank 31st overall, 31st against the pass, 20th against the rush, and 28th for points allowed. Also, Minnesota ranks 18th for fewest turnovers lost and 12th for takeaways.
Kirk Cousins threw for 225 yards and a touchdown in the first half and watched the rest of the way as the NFC North champion Vikings tuned up for the playoffs. Cousins bounced back from a rough outing, completing 17 of 20 passes. At the same time, he posted a sparkling 130.2 rating.
