Public Makes Cowboys Default Choice for NFC East Futures

2022 Futures Odds - NFC East By CashBet Sportsbook

At the onset of Super Bowl best future market betting is public belief in the Dallas Cowboys to take the NFC East.  Not that the Cowboys are considered the best team in the NFC.  But the NFC is among the worst divisions in football.  Second choice belongs to the Eagles.  Gamblers recall that Philadelphia made the 2021 NFL playoffs.  However, the Eagles were exposed as a team that didn’t belong.  Philly only qualified thanks to the expanded format.  Washington has the worst owner in football.  And the Giants are nowhere near ready to emerge as a serious contender.

Jerry World Prepare for NFC East Run

Last year the Cowboys were 12-5 and winners of the NFC East.  It was a dramatic improvement from their 6-10 season of 2020.  Head coach Mike McCarthy benefited from Dak Prescott as quarterback for the entire season.  And then Dan Quinn was a major sportsbook upgrade as the defensive coordinator.

However, all the Betting on Super Bowl goodwill earned was squandered in a home playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers.  Dallas self-destructed and played poorly.  McCarthy was retained only after getting the silent treatment from Jerry Jones for a week.  Dallas has never made a Super Bowl without a Jimmy Johnson-constructed team.

Will Philadelphia Put the Hurts on Gamblers or Opponents?

Rookie head coach Nick Sirianni led the Eagles to a playoff berth in 2021.  However, the Eagles lost the wild card game at Tampa Bay 31-15.  And the Eagles were totally outclassed and exposed with the Super Bowl betting odds.  Tampa Bay led 31-0 in the fourth quarter.

Last year Jalen Hurts was at quarterback after winning the job late in the 2020 season.  Hurts has never been taken seriously as an NFL quarterback.  In turn, Hurts is nowhere close to being an elite passer.  What he does bring to the table is that Hurts is a dual-threat quarterback.  Yet nobody believes that he will take Philadelphia to the Super Bowl.

A Giant Leap Forward for Daboll?

Last year the New York Giants’ experiment with head coach Joe Judge ended in humiliation.  Judge was exposed for being in way over his head.  Additionally, he did not bring a command presence for Super Bowl betting success.  Following a 4-13 debacle in 2021, Judge was sent back to Bill Belichick and the Patriots.

Now arriving for Big Blue is the highly respected former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll.  In turn, the arrival of Daboll has generated an increase in fan enthusiasm.

First on the to-do list for Daboll will be to fix quarterback Daniel Jones.  Since his arrival, Jones has been a source of debate and controversy with fans and gamblers.  New York made him the 6th overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft.  Subsequently, Jones hasn’t developed as an asset in his time with New York.  But there is debate about whether that is his fault or a failure by the Giants.

New York co-owner John-Mara has confessed that the Giants have not given Jones enough surrounding pieces and support.  In turn, it is believed that Daboll is the one coach that can turn Jones’ career around.
