Browns vs. Ravens CashBet Wagering Analysis

Cleveland coach Kevin Stefanski is quickly going from the penthouse to the betting on NFL outhouse.  As a rookie head coach in 2020, Stefanski led the Browns to the AFC divisional playoff round.  Since then, it’s been all downhill.  Cleveland is in free fall on its third quarterback in three years.  But there are pieces to work with.  And there is the sense that the Browns have more upside than many gamblers realize.  In a similar way, the Ravens are a colossal

Browns vs. Ravens CashBet Wagering Analysis

On this occasion, the sportsbook public will storm the betting window for action on the Ravens.  Baltimore remains the more respected brand with squares.  And understandably so.  But sharps see Cleveland as a potentially enhanced value.  The Browns are playing under their capability.  And they are getting points against an erratic Baltimore team that can’t protect leads.

Brown Out in Cleveland

Last game, the Cleveland Browns lost 38-15 against the New England Patriots as 2.5-point home favorites.  The game went over the total of 43.  Cleveland has a record of 2-4 straight up, 2-4 against the spread, and 5-1 over/under the Betting on football total.  Cleveland ranks 4th for total offense, 23rd for passing, 1st for rushing, and 7th for scoring.  Defensively they rank 23rd overall, 19th against the pass, 24th against the rush, and 31st for points allowed.  Also, Cleveland ranks 21st for turnovers lost and 25th for takeaways.

New England backup Bailey Zappe threw for 309 yards and two touchdowns to burn the Browns.  Zappe finished 24 of 34 passing.  Meanwhile, Cleveland running back Nick Chubb finished with 12 carries for 56 yards, both season lows.  Browns QB Jacoby Brissett finished 21 for 45 for 266 yards with two interceptions.

Finally, New England sealed it with a 19-yard end-around for a touchdown by Thornton.  Brissett fumbled the ball away on the Browns’ next drive.  Subsequently, Stevenson scored a second TD, a 6-yard plunge with 3:40 left.  It was the most points allowed by Cleveland this season and its most lopsided loss.

Baltimore Fans Raven With Anger

Last game, the Baltimore Ravens lost 24-20 against the New York Giants as 5.5-point road favorites.  The game went under the total of 46.  Baltimore has a record of 3-3 straight up, 2-3-1 against the spread, and 2-4 over/under the NFL bets total.  Baltimore ranks 9th for total offense, 24th for passing, 6th for rushing, and 5th for scoring.  Defensively they rank 25th overall, 28th against the pass, 8th against the rush, and 20th for points allowed.  Also, Baltimore ranks 19th for turnovers lost and 2nd for takeaways.

Overall, Baltimore outgained New York 406 yards to 238.  The difference was the Giants got a total contribution from the offense, defense, and kicking teams.  New York’s defense forced two turnovers by Lamar Jackson late in the fourth quarter.

Yet Kenyan Drake ran for 119 yards.  Including a 30-yard TD.  And then Jackson hit Mark Andrews on a 12-yard TD pass early in the fourth quarter for a 20-10 Raven lead.  However, the Ravens failed to close again.  Baltimore collapsed against Miami in Week 2.  Also, the Ravens blew an early 17-point lead against Buffalo in Week 4.

The Ravens seemed to have a stranglehold on the Giants.  Jackson had a third-down sneak to the Baltimore 46 for an apparent first down.  But an illegal formation nullified the play.  Next, a sudden shotgun snap on third-and-5 went past Jackson.  He picked up the ball deep behind the line of scrimmage, and his desperation pass was intercepted by Love and returned to the 13.
