Raiders Host Chiefs in Week 18 Matchup Betting

Chiefs vs. Raiders CashBet Wagering Analysis

Last year interim head coach Rich Bisaccia was able to get the Las Vegas Raiders into the playoffs with quarterback Derek Carr.  Despite Bisaccia being the previous special teams’ coach and taking over a team that faced a lost betting on NFL season.

This year new head coach Josh McDaniels flopped with Carr and sent him home.  McDaniels was celebrated as the quarterback whisperer that won Super Bowls as offensive coordinator of the New England Patriots.  Fans and gamblers have gotten remedial training on how bad a head coach McDaniels is.  Specifically, Tom Brady carried him.

Chiefs vs. Raiders CashBet Wagering Analysis

The Chiefs are drawing plenty of public sector action.  Cause by Kansas City is fighting for the AFC top seed.  Gamblers have abandoned the Raiders as one of the worst organizations in the NFL.  Las Vegas can’t deliver sportsbook odds consistency.

Kansas City Chiefs Aim for Top Seed

Last game, the Kansas City Chiefs won 27-24 against the Denver Broncos as 13.5-point home favorites.  The game went over the Betting on football total of 46.5.  Kansas City has a record of 13-3 straight up, 4-11 against the spread, and 8-8 over/under the total.  Kansas City ranks 1st for total offense, 1st for passing, 21st for rushing, and 1st for scoring.  While defensively, they rank 12th overall, 18th against the pass, 9th against the rush, and 20th for points allowed.  Also, Kansas City ranks 28th for fewest turnovers lost and 24th for takeaways.

Patrick Mahomes joined Tom Brady and Drew Brees as the only quarterbacks with multiple 5,000-yard passing seasons.  The Chiefs overcame another sloppy start to beat the Broncos for the 15th consecutive time.  Most important of all, they stay alive for the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

But Mahomes was not great.  There was the pick he threw in the end zone and the mechanics that went awry in the second half.  The fumbled punt return led to a Denver touchdown, a sloppy snap on a point-after attempt, and even a blocked field goal.  Yet the Chiefs still managed to escape a 17-13 third-quarter deficit and rally for their fourth consecutive win.  Still, Mahomes finished with 328 yards passing and three touchdowns

Las Vegas Raiders Blow Wins All Season

Last game, the Vegas Raiders lost 34-37 against the San Francisco 49ers as 10-point home favorites.  The game went over the NFL bets total of 41.  Las Vegas has a record of 6-10 straight up, 8-8 against the spread, and 8-8 over/under the total.  Las Vegas ranks 11th for total offense, 11th for passing, 16th for rushing, and 12th for scoring.  While defensively, they rank 26th overall, 29th against the pass, 17th against the rush, and 25th for points allowed.  Also, Las Vegas ranks 11th for fewest turnovers lost and 31st for takeaways.

Tashaun Gipson intercepted Jarrett Stidham in overtime and returned it 56 yards.  Subsequently, that set Robbie Gould’s 23-yard field goal, giving the Niners a win over the Raiders.  It was the 49ers’ ninth consecutive win.

The victory was especially important for the 49ers, who can clinch the No. 2 seed in the NFC with a win against Arizona next week or a loss by Minnesota.  Also, San Francisco has a shot at the No. 1 seed and a bye if Philadelphia loses to the Giants in Week 18.

Davante Adams had seven receptions for 153 yards and two touchdowns for the Raiders.  But Las Vegas was eliminated from playoff contention.  They have lost three of their past four games, and this was their NFL-record fifth defeat this season after holding a double-digit lead in the second half.  Stidham, who replaced Derek Carr after the nine-year starter was benched earlier in the week, completed 23 of 34 passes for 365 yards.
