NFL Coaching Carousel Hits Fill Throttle with Volatile Factors

Politics is the filthiest non-four-letter word in today’s world.  Yet politics plays a major role in who gets NFL head coaching jobs.  The old adage about “it’s not WHAT you know, but WHO you know has never been more apt.  Today’s NFL is more about comfort zones than beating zones.  And that leads to candidates such as Jim Harbaugh.  Concurrently the Michigan coach was one of the biggest winners in Super Bowl best bet history.  But Harbaugh makes everyone around him uncomfortable.  Accordingly, he is being passed over by coaches with lesser credentials.

Once upon a time, Jim Harbaugh was the Bears quarterback.  But he is not a Bitcoin sportsbook favorite despite his success with the San Francisco 49ers.  From the outside, Harbaugh would seem like a perfect Chicago fit.  But from the inside of Halas Hall, Harbaugh is probably too hot to handle.  But current favorite Brian Flores was fired by Miami for battling his general manager.

Green Bay offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett remains the betting on Super Bowl favorite at Denver.  However, the Packer playoff flop doesn’t help the resume.  Kansas City offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy was the star quarterback at the University of Colorado.

Bieniemy has been touted hard by his boss, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.  The fact that Bieniemy has been a long-time Kansas City assistant gives him superior knowledge of the AFC West.  Naturally, his stock is up after Kansas City’s big win over Buffalo in the Divisional Playoffs.  But Bieniemy doesn’t inherit Patrick Mahomes as quarterback wherever he goes.

Namely, Nathaniel Hackett is a Super Bowl betting odds favorite for multiple jobs.  But Doug Pederson won a Super Bowl as Philadelphia Eagles head coach.

Minnesota is one of the most interesting Super Bowl betting choices with numerous top-tier candidates.  Brian Daboll is a hot commodity as the Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator.  A late-emerging favorite is Him Harbaugh.

Despite a crash and burn at the end of his tenure, Bill O’Brien was an NFL gambling success with the Houston Texans.  Jacksonville has amassed a lot of young talent and could be ready to ascend with the right hire.

Josh McDaniels made his bones as the New England Patriots offensive coordinator.  Thus, the McHoodie will get a lot of interviews.  But his first gig at Denver was a disaster.

Since the firing of general manager Mike Mayock, it’s been very quiet in Sin City.  At the beginning, Jim Harbaugh was the favorite.  But the silence has everyone second-guessing his potential.  Rich Bisaccia won respect as the interim coach that led Las Vegas to the 2021 NFL Playoffs.  But Bisaccia would come far cheaper than almost any other head coach.  Owner Mark Davis may want to hire his GM first to ensure a good fit for the head coach.
