The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off one of the greatest comebacks in NFL playoff history. But there is no time to celebrate. This week brings the betting on NFL divisional round. And a trip to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium to face the Kansas City Chiefs. Kansas City is the top AFC seed. And the Chiefs bring a wealth of playoff experience. But the Chiefs play a backyard style of football that leaves them vulnerable to an upset. Last year the young Cincinnati Bengals took full advantage to beat the Chiefs in the AFC championship game.

Jaguars vs. Chiefs CashBet Wagering Analysis
Of course, the Chiefs will draw plenty of sportsbook support as the power brand with the best player in football. There is no way squares will step into the Chiefs at Arrowhead with an upstart Jacksonville team. By contrast, sharps will not overpay on Kansas City. And Jacksonville is seen as the 2022 version of the 2021 Cincinnati Bengals.
Jaguars Make Big Leap Forward
Last game, the Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Los Angeles Chargers 31-30 as 2-point home dogs. The game went over the Betting on football total of 46.5. Jacksonville has a record of 9-8 straight up, 8-8-1 against the spread, and 8-9 over/under the total. Jacksonville ranks 10th for total offense, 10th for passing, 14th for rushing, and 10th for scoring. Defensively they rank 24th overall, 28th against the pass, 12th against the rush, and 12th for points allowed. Also, Jacksonville ranks 16th for the fewest turnovers lost and 5th for takeaways.
Jacksonville QB Trevor Lawrence overcame four interceptions with four touchdown passes. Most important of all, Lawrence led one of the most improbable turnarounds in NFL postseason history. Lawrence engineered the winning drive, highlighted by Travis Etienne’s 25-yard run on a fourth-and-1 play. Hence, he put the Jaguars in position for Riley Patterson’s 36-yard field goal on the final play. It capped a 27-point comeback, the largest in franchise history and the third largest in playoff history.
Patterson’s kick barely stayed inside the right upright and set off a raucous celebration. Consider that the Jacksonville franchise won a combined four games over the previous two years. The Jaguars won their sixth consecutive game and fifth straight at home. And all of the wins came in come-from-behind fashion.
Nonetheless, no one could have seen this one coming. Maybe not even Lawrence. But he was the steady hand in charge after a first half debacle. In sum, Leonard finished 28-of-47 passing for 288 yards.
Correlate that Lawrence was downright dreadful to begin Jacksonville’s first playoff game since the 2017 AFC title game. He became the third quarterback in the Super Bowl era to throw four interceptions in the first half of a playoff game. However, he bounced back as well as anyone in NFL history. Jacksonville’s comeback goes down behind only Buffalo’s rally on Jan. 3, 1993 (32 points against Houston) and Indianapolis’ on Jan. 4, 2014 (28 points against Kansas City).
Can Chiefs Develop a Team Approach With Mahomes?
Last game, the Kanas City Chiefs won 31-13 against the Las Vegas Raiders as 9-point road favorites. The game went under the NFL bets total of 51. Kansas City has a record of 14-3 straight up, 5-11-1 against the spread, and 8-9 over/under the total. Kansas City ranks 1st for total offense, 1st for passing, 20th for rushing, and 1st for scoring. Defensively they rank 11th overall, 18th against the pass, 8th against the rush, and 16th for points allowed. Also, Kansas City ranks 24th for fewest turnovers lost and 24th for takeaways.
Accordingly, the Chiefs are coming off a 1st-round bye as the top AFC seed.
