It is no surprise that the Kansas City Chiefs are the favorites to win the 2023 AFC championship. Cause by Kansas City won the AFC title in three of the previous four seasons. Also, the last five AFC championship games were held at Arrowhead Stadium in KC. QB Patrick Mahomes and coach Andy Reid make one of the greatest partnerships in betting on NFL history. However, the AFC is loaded with great teams and quarterbacks. Kansas City will not have an easy path to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas next February.

2023 AFC Championship CashBet Wagering Analysis
On this occasion, the Chiefs are understandably the best sportsbook online favorites for a fourth AFC title in the last five years. It is true that the casual sector makes future bets based on the past. But even sharps have to acknowledge that there is no real reason why the Chiefs can’t win the AFC again. That does not mean they will, but Kansas City can.
Hail to the Chiefs
Once upon a time, Chiefs fans would have to look back to the late 1960s to find an era of greatness for the franchise. Hank Stram’s Chiefs were great, but they never won two Super Bowls. Nor did they make three Super Bowls in four years. And they did not ever host an AFC championship game, let alone five straight.
The “D Word” is starting to circulate regarding the Chiefs. In comparison to the New England Patriots, it might be a little soon to think Kansas City can match Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Then again, the Chiefs have what the Patriots had; a Hall of Fame coach and quarterback. They are in the hunt as long as Patrick Mahomes stays healthy and Andy Reid is the head coach.
Can Buffalo Pay the Bills
At the onset of the 2022 campaign, it was supposed to be betting on football Year of the Buffalo Bills. And for most of the season, it looked like Buffalo would reach Super Sunday. But late in the year, the Bills’ flaws were exposed. Now there are concerns that Buffalo may have had its window close. Josh Allen returns at quarterback. But can Allen reach the next Mahomes-type level and get the Bills over the hump? And can the Buffalo defense maintain its level of excellence for most of 2022?
Bengals Have the Confidence to Take Out the Chiefs
Last year the Cincinnati Bengals stunned the NFL bets world by upsetting the Chiefs in Kansas City for the AFC championship. And then Cincinnati could have and perhaps should have won the Super Bowl against the Rams. This year the Bengals were a better team. But the element of surprise was gone. Yet the Bengals went into Buffalo and dominated the Bills in the AFC divisional playoffs.
Certainly, the Bengals rate as the next best team to the Chiefs. Or perhaps the equal of Kansas City. Cincinnati has the confidence of a team that has beaten the Chiefs twice in two years. They will not fear the Chiefs. Also, they believe they should have won the AFC championship game in KC this season. Hence, the Bengals have a strong team and plenty of NFL Betting odds motivation.
Baltimore Raven for a Shot
The Baltimore Ravens need only one thing to be a serious AFC championship contender. Specifically, the Ravens need quarterback Lamar Jackson to stay healthy. And while that is easier said than done, Jackson can take Baltimore all the way.
