Chargers Escape Brown Out in Cleveland

Los Angeles entered the game last in the league in rushing.  Yet LA leaned on its ground game to win.  Overall, the Chargers finished with 238 yards rushing.  That was 174 more than their average.  Additionally, Los Angeles showed they could do more than pass.  The teams combined for 908 total yards and 53 first downs.  And then there were only three punts.  All of those punts were in the first half.

Most important of all was when Chargers safety Alohi Gilman intercepted Jacoby Brissett’s pass in the end zone with 2:44 left.  Cleveland’s Nick Chubb ran for 134 yards and had a 2-yard TD run.  LA’s Mike Williams had ten catches for 134 yards.
