CashBet Sportsbook 2022 NFC South Futures Odds

At the beginning of the offseason, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lacked Super Bowl best cache.  The “retirement” of Tom Brady made the Bucs just another team with the betting public.  But after a few weeks with the wife and kids, the GOAT announced he was back for the 2022 season.  The return of Brady completely flipped the future market.  As a result of Brady’s return, Tampa Bay is a Super Bowl and NFC South favorite.  Handicappers are questioning if anyone else can challenge the Brady Bunch.  New Orleans is the alternative pick.

Brady Bunch Will Run for Third Season

Bruce Arians led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the second Super Bowl title in franchise history in 2020.  Last year the Bucs finished 13-4 but lost a top online sportsbook playoff heartbreaker in the final seconds to the Los Angeles Rams.  Brady retired a couple of days after the game.  However, Brady soon returned to the Bucs.  As soon as Brady’s comeback was announced, Arians announced his “retirement” from coaching.  He will remain in the Bucs front office.

Todd Bowles was promoted to head coach.   Many observers believe that Brady stuck a knife into Arians.  In sum, nobody knows for sure.  But Brady is back, which is what everyone wanted most of all.  Previously, Bowles had poor Betting on Super Bowl results as an inexperienced Jets head coach.  In defense of Bowles, he did not have the GOAT as his quarterback.

Allen Marches In as New Saints Coach

Last year, future Hall of fame quarterback Drew Brees retired.  For the 2022 season, Saints fans and gamblers have a new head coach to handicap with the Super Bowl betting odds.  Dennis Allen replaces Sean Payton, who chose to step aside after a tough 2021 campaign.  Allen was the Saints’ defensive coordinator under Payton.

Of course, in 2021, Jameis Winston was lost for almost the entire season due to injury.  Winston was groomed as the heir apparent to Brees.  Perhaps Payton could see the writing on the wall as the season progressed.  Nobody knows for sure if Winston is the QB answer.  Concurrently, he is the only Super Bowl betting option in 2022.  Dennis Allen will be highly dependent upon offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael.  Winston will miss the tutelage of Sean Payton.  Carmichael must prove he put Winston on course.

Now or Never for Matt’s Carolina Rhule

Initially, Matt Rule’s hiring as Carolina Panthers head coach caused great enthusiasm.  Rhule had just taken the Baylor Bears to the Sugar Bowl after inheriting a nuclear dump.  Rhule seemed like a sure thing.  So far, he has turned in consecutive 5-11 seasons.  Carolina was 5-11 the year before Rhule arrived.  In 2020 Rhule got a pass for being a rookie in a pandemic-ravaged season.

Last year there was additional excitement with the arrival of quarterback Sam Darnold from the New York Jets.  However, Darnold played in only 12 games last year.  And he was ineffective when he was in the lineup.  Yet another big problem in the Rhule era has been injuries to marquee man Christian McCaffrey.

Now the arrival of Baker Mayfield changes everything.  The former Browns quarterback gets a chance to save his career and Rhule’s.
