There is never a dull moment in Jerry World. Certainly, the Dallas Cowboys are one of the greatest daily dramas in sports history. But in the 2022 NFL preseason, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were a more compelling drama. Tom Brady is known as the GOAT of NFL quarterbacks. Brady led The Bucs to the Super Bowl championship in his first year. A betting on NFL playoff season followed in 2021. And then came his “retirement” after a devastating playoff loss to the Rams. But after a few days with the wife and kids, he returned. Yet he soon disappeared.

Buccaneers vs. Cowboys CashBet Wagering Analysis
Sunday night’s game marks the new-look NBC Sunday Night TV booth. Mike Trico replaces Al Michaels as the play-by-play man. At the same time, veteran color analyst Chris Collinsworth returns.
Specifically, this best sportsbook online matchup is between two of the biggest brands in sports. Tom Brady is associated with Super Bowls and as the GOAT. While the Dallas Cowboys are bigger than life as “America’s Team.” Thus, betting action is splitting evenly between these two NFC favorites.
Brady Bunch Facing Potential Turmoil
At the onset of the preseason, betting on football hopes were high in Tampa Bay. Tom Brady was back. And with him, so were the dreams of another Super Sunday in February. Or was he back? Consider that in training camp, Brady disappeared for a couple of weeks. He then returned with a vastly different physical appearance.
Of course, football is the ultimate team sport. But Brady is putting that to the test. Naturally, Brady’s entitled fugitive act aggravated fans, gamblers, coaches, and teammates. Correlate everyone is catching GOAT fatigue.
In like manner to Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, Tom Brady is the closest thing to a one-man team in football. But his antics are disgusting to many folks. Disappearing for a couple of weeks in training camp is not a good look. Regardless of the politically correct statements lying otherwise.
The entire Tampa Bay Buccaneers team is in NFL bets transition because of Brady. Head coach Bruce Arians stepped down upon Tom Brady coming out of retirement. Certainly, Arians is a gruff sort that rubbed Brady the wrong way. But Arians is a proven winner. His replacement is not.
Todd Bowles is the new Buccaneers head coach. This is his second NFL head coaching gig. Previously, Bowles went 24-40 as head coach of the New York Jets. Last year he was the Buccaneers’ defensive coordinator. And Bowles made the horrific defensive play call late in the game, allowing the Rams to hit a devastating wide-open deep pass. Subsequently, Los Angeles won the game on a field goal. Still, the NFC South is so bad that the Bucs are prohibitive chalk to win it again.
Jerry World Ominously Quiet Compared to Past
It was a tale of two seasons in 2021 for the Dallas Cowboys. Head coach Mike McCarthy went 6-10 in his first season in 2020 without quarterback Dak Prescott. But the Cowboys won the NFC East in 2021, going 12-5. Most important of all was the addition of defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. Quinn took over a hapless unit and turned it into something of an asset.
However, in the postseason, the Cowboys imploded with stupid penalties and horrible clock management. Dallas lost to the San Francisco 49ers 23-17 after falling behind 23-7. In turn, they looked completely unprepared.
Following the loss, owner Jerry Jones let McCarthy twist in the wind for a week. And then he begrudgingly brought him back. But McCarthy is hanging by a thread. Former New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton is a Jones favorite. And Payton is a former Cowboys assistant. He is waiting in the wings.
