Bills Host Bengals in Epic Divisional Playoff Showdown Sunday

Bengals vs. Bills CashBet Wagering Analysis

On Sunday, the Buffalo Bills will host the Cincinnati Bengals.  Specifically, it could be the top game of the betting on NFL weekend.  Buffalo would likely have been the top AFC seed if not for a cancellation of its week 17 game at the Cincinnati Bengals.  Last week, the Bills were sluggish against the Miami Dolphins in the wild card round, as expected.  In like manner, the Bengals struggled in the wild card round.  They barely escaped with a win over the Baltimore Ravens.  Last year, Cincinnati was the upstart AFC champion.

Sam Hubbard returned Tyler Huntley’s fumble 98 yards for a tiebreaking touchdown in the fourth quarter.  Hence, the Bengals escaped a wild card upset disaster against the Ravens.

On third-and-goal at the 1 with about 12 minutes left, Huntley tried to go over the top of the line for the go-ahead score. But he was stood up by Germaine Pratt and stripped by fellow linebacker Logan Wilson.  Subsequently, Hubbard got the ball at the 2, and he was helped along by a convoy of teammates on the longest fumble return for a touchdown in NFL postseason history.  Also, it was the longest go-ahead TD in the fourth quarter of the postseason.

Playing behind a patchwork offensive line, Burrow passed for 209 yards and a touchdown.  Also, he had a 1-yard touchdown run.  A year after Cincinnati made a surprise run to the Super Bowl, it won a playoff game for the second straight postseason for the first time in franchise history.

Buffalo Fails to Pay Bills Against Miami

Buffalo QB Josh Allen shrugged off a three-turnover outing.  And then the three-time defending AFC East champion Bills avoided a major collapse.  Buffalo rallied to a victory over the AFC’s seventh-seeded and injury-depleted Dolphins in a wild card game.  While acknowledging he was hardly at his best, Allen said all that mattered was the final score.

The Bills squandered a 17-0 lead against an opponent that limped into the playoffs by losing five of its final six.  Additionally, Miami was down to its third-string quarterback, rookie Skylar Thompson.
