Last year the Ravens were 8-3 at the start of December. Baltimore was considered a lock to make the playoffs at the very least. Instead, the Ravens saw the roof cave in on them. Baltimore lost its final six games to finish out of the Super Bowl best chase at 8-9. The Ravens’ streak of three consecutive playoff seasons ended unceremoniously. Another problem was that Lamar Jackson missed five games. Jackson has never matched his 2019 NFL Most Valuable Player season. But the Ravens won only one game that he missed.

2022 Baltimore Ravens – CashBet Odds Overview
Last year the Ravens’ collapse left a horrible taste in the mouths of a lot of gamblers. And Ravens fans were appalled at how bad the best sportsbook online
stretch run went. And head coach John Harbaugh took the heat more than anyone. Certainly, Harbaugh is the best coach in Ravens’ history. He led Baltimore to the 2012 world championship. But the 2019 Playoff loss is yet to be forgotten.
Specifically, the Ravens went 14-2 to gain the top seed in the AFC. And Jackson won the NFL Most Valuable Player award. Baltimore was the hottest team on the Betting on Super Bowl board. And they had home-field advantage for the entire playoffs. However, they were rendered helpless in a loss to the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee head coach Mike Vrabel cracked the code on Tennessee. The rest of the NFL studied the tape. And Baltimore has never been the same.
Still, Baltimore and Jackson carry plenty of Super Bowl betting odds cache. Gamblers have not been shy about loading up on the Ravens through the years. And it is doubtful that Baltimore’s 2021 collapse will change that public popularity. At least until another bad stretch hits.
If you looked only at the standings, 8-9 was disappointing for the Ravens. It was John Harbaugh’s second losing season since taking the job in 2008. But with some context, it was a pretty remarkable season for Baltimore. To show, they had no business being close to .500 after a record-setting run of injuries. It spoke to how good the Ravens’ organization is.
The issue with the Ravens lately has become the lack of a playoff run. It speaks to the bar the Ravens have set that it seems they’ve been underachieving by not making a Super Bowl since the 2012 season. Since then, they’re 2-4 in the playoffs, with both wins coming in the wild-card round. There’s a lot of random variances involved. Although Jackson’s critics will tell you Baltimore can’t win with an offense and quarterback that is unlike any other in the NFL.
Looking Ahead – 2022 Baltimore Ravens
Jackson wasn’t at his best last season, throwing a career-high 13 interceptions. Yet, his Super Bowl betting pace before suffering what ended up being a season-ending ankle injury was 4,428 passing yards and 1,178 rushing yards. If that’s a down year, the Ravens will be OK.
Jackson’s greatness has been understated this offseason. Still, he is one of the most electrifying players in the NFL and can easily have another MVP season. Furthermore, Baltimore can win a Super Bowl with him.
Baltimore’s defense added to the secondary and should be fine with plenty of injured players returning. Baltimore traded receiver Marquise Brown to the Arizona Cardinals for a first-round pick. Certainly, that was a very good return, But the move leaves the Ravens thin in the passing game. Tight end Mark Andrews is coming off a monster season. While 2021 first-round pick Rashod Bateman could be ready to shine.
To conclude, the Ravens will be right back in Super Bowl contention this season.
