Veteran bantamweights Raphael Assunção and Victor Henry face off in a three-round encounter that is part of the preliminary card of the UFC Fight Night 212 on Saturday, October 15. Matches in the preliminaries begin at 4:00 PM ET at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. ESPN+ will cover the matches on live television while UFC Fight Pass will feature the showdown on live streaming. Assunção wants to end his four-fight losing skid as he takes on Henry, who aims to follow up on his unanimous decision win over Raoni Barcelos in January. Online sports betting experts see this as a toss up with Assunção banking on his experience to eke out a win over fellow veteran Henry, who will make his second UFC fight after spending most of his mixed martial arts career in the independent circuit.

Raphael Assunção
A veteran of 36 fights, Assunção (27-9, 11-6 UFC) will look to end his four-game slide and get back on track in the bantamweight category. The Brazilian has battled the likes of Cody Garbrandt, Marlon Moraes, TJ Dillashaw, Aljamain Sterling and Urijah Faber and a win against Henry will put him in bigger fights up ahead. Assunção is more of a submission expert with his Brazilian jiu-jitsu background as he has collected 10 victories via tap-out. The Brazilian will fight a durable fighter who has not lost by stoppage.
Victor Henry
In his second fight in the UFC, Henry (22-5, 1-0 UFC) will be paired with a Brazilian veteran who has squared off with the greats and wanted to make a graceful exit in his well-decorated career. The fighter known as “La Mangosta” won his first UFC bout against Raoni Barcelos via unanimous decision. He seeks to make it two in a row against Assunção and improve his chances of fighting the best fighters in the 135-pound division. The 35-year-old fighter had stints in Russia, Japan and fought in minor MMA leagues in the US before securing a UFC contract. He will try to show everyone that his last performance is no fluke and a win over Assunção will be great in his career.
