Kamaru Usman
The last time Kamaru Usman tasted a loss was way back in May 2013. Since then, this fighter encompassed different MMA organizations and amassed an 18-fight winning streak. He rose up to the top of the welterweight rankings and earned a title fight after battling Rafael dos Anjos. “The Nigerian Nightmare” continued to stay undefeated after earning a unanimous decision win over Tyron Woodley via unanimous decision in UFC 245. This fighter defended the belt for the first time against Colby Covington and had three more wins after that bout. He fought Jorge Masvidal twice and Gilbert Burns in his last three matches.
Colby Covington
Before losing to Kamaru Usman in UFC 245, Covington was on a seven-fight winning streak. Among the fighters that he defeated in that streak are Demian Maia, Rafael dos Anjos, Robbie Lawler, Max Griffin and Dong Huyn Kim. “Chaos” earned his rematch against Usman after defeating Tyron Woodley back in September 2020 in UFC Fight Night 178. Covington gave Woodley a good beating as his opponent suffered a rib injury in the fifth round to earn a TKO win. This 33-year-old fighter has only lost twice in his MMA career and half of his matches were won through a unanimous decision.
