On the whole, there is a reason why the Lighting are defending Stanley Cup champions. Tampa Bay is loaded with speed, skill, depth, and power. That was all on display in their 8-0 NHL betting payout over the Islanders in Game-5. As a result of that blowout, the Lightning can clinch the series with a Game-6 win at New York on Wednesday night. Despite the fact that the Islanders were terrible on Monday, that doesn’t ensure a Wednesday defeat. New York can’t be any worse than they were in Game-5. But Tampa Bay showed how outclassed the Isles are.

Tampa Bay Lightning at New York Islanders CashBet Wagering Analysis
New York faces the prospect of elimination in this game. Also, a loss means the end of the Nassau Coliseum. New York fans have enjoyed a sentimental swan song at the “Old Barn.” Commencing with 1972, the Coliseum has been the Islanders’ home. Including when they had their 1980-83 Stanley Cup dynasty. That intangible has made for plenty of Bitcoin Sportsbook handle. In turn, the Lightning are drawing dollars based on its superior depth and firepower.

Monday night in Game-5, the Lightning turned on their full power. At the onset, Tampa Bay carried the play with speed, skill, and force. New York has a reputation for being the most structured and defensively sound team in the NHL. However, none of that mattered in Game-5. Tampa Bay has free reign to do as they pleased all game long. By contrast, the Islanders were rendered utterly helpless at stopping the Lightning.
Namely, Brayden Point is becoming the playoff marquee man of the Lightning. Point has 13 goals with five assists and a +3. Right-wing Nikita Kucherov brings five goals, 22 assists, and a +2. Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy is the most underappreciated player on the Lightning. Yet his .936 save percentage and 2.05 goals-against average indicate goaltending dominance.

The Islanders were simply not ready for the fifth game. And they paid the price for their lack of focus and commitment. Tampa Bay was playing in fast-forward. While lumbering New York was in slow motion.
