An old saying about the NHL Playoffs goes as follows; “You are never in trouble until you lose a playoff game on home ice.” Specifically, that applies to the present NHL betting series between the Bruins and Hurricanes. The Canes won the first two games at home. Consequently, Boston was written off for dead. But at TD Garden, the Bruins beat Carolina in two games to even the series. On Tuesday night, the Hurricanes will host the Bruins. More emphatically, gamblers are asking if home ice will remain an advantage?

CashBet Wagering Analysis – Trouble Bruin or a Hurricane Warning?
Game five will create quite a betting on NHL split. At the onset is the home-ice advantage factor. Normally sharps like to take a quality team on the road for the price advantage. But when a series is this even, the home team gets a discount. Therefore, handicapping this game becomes a challenge.
Some gamblers will ride the home ice theory. And home ice has paid in all four games. Yet other gamblers will go to their traditional camps. Sharps will prefer the quality road dog Boston. And Squares will cling to a good home ice favorite.
Bruins Storm Back with Impressive Wins
Following ugly 5-1 and 5-2 losses at Carolina, Boston scored 4-2, and 5-2 pro hockey betting wins. This season Boston was a profitable away team at 25-13-3.
Head coach Bruce Cassidy was said to be a dead man coaching after the Bruins fell behind 2-0 in this series. Boston played so poorly that many observers thought the team had quit on the coach. However, that narrative has changed after the Bruins fought back to win two games with gusto.
Goaltender Jeremy Swayman replaced Linus Ullmark after game two. And then Swayman responded with a .925 save percentage and two wins. Additionally, Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron have three goals each.
Another Hurricane Warning at Home?
This season, Carolina was one of the toughest home ice teams on the hockey betting board. To illuminate, the Hurricanes were 29-8-4 on home ice this season.
Carolina head coach Rod Brind’Amour has proven to be the perfect fit for a unique franchise. At the onset of his ownership, Tom Dundon was scoffed at for his unique business practices. Dundon slashed costs and emphasized efficiency. He changed the uniforms and game atmosphere. Most important of all, Dundon refuses to over-spend. And the results have been a direct contrarian slap in the face to the NHL Establishment. Dundon has the last laugh.
So far, defenseman Tony DeAngelo has been a key asset for the Hurricanes with five assists and a plus-three. Right-wing Nino Niederreiter leads Carolina in goals with three. Also, he has an assist and a plus-two. Defenseman Jaccob Slavin has brought one goal, three assists, and a plus-eight.
Of great concern is that number one goalie Frederik Andersen remains out with a lower-body injury. Antti Raanta has a .928 save percentage in this series with Pyotr Kochetkov at .900.
