Super Bowl LVII Odds:  Gamblers Bet 2022 Chiefs Are on the Warpath

Kansas City Chiefs 2021 Super Bowl Team Prop Bets

Although the Los Angeles Rams are Super Bowl champions, they are NOT Super Bowl best bets for 2022.  That distinction goes to the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.  Owing to their epic AFC Divisional Playoff game, perhaps it is apropos.  Buffalo seemed to have the Chiefs beat with an apparent game-winning touchdown with 13 seconds remaining.  However, it was 13 seconds too long.  In that 13 seconds, the Chiefs produced a field goal to send the game into overtime.  Subsequently, Kansas City won the game in overtime.  And gamblers haven’t forgotten.

Are the Chiefs Overrated?

Lost in all of the Bitcoin Sportsbook hype is that Kansas City failed to make the Super Bowl.  Following their epic win over the Bills, the Chiefs blew a 21-3 halftime lead in an AFC Championship Game loss to the upstart Cincinnati Bengals.  In that game, all of the Chiefs’ weaknesses were exposed.  First, quarterback Patrick Mahomes is charged with too much responsibility.

Kansas City frequently doesn’t even try to run the ball.  The Chiefs are often guilty of sloppy play, thinking that Mahomes will bail them out in the end.  Except he did not deliver against the Bengals.  Also exposed was an overrated Kansas City defense.  Why folks were fooled into thinking the Chiefs fixed their defense boggles the mind.  Even when they scored their Betting on Super Bowl win over the 49ers, the Chiefs defense was merely above average at best.

Gamblers Expect Buffalo to Pay the Bills

To begin with, Buffalo was one of the most profitable teams on the board for the Super Bowl betting odds.  But the Bills failed to kill the Chiefs off, needing only 13 seconds to do so.  On the whole, quarterback Josh Allen has proven to be in the elite class.  But the Bills’ defense, like Kansas City’s, was found to be overrated.  Of major concern is how much of the Buffalo roster can be held intact from 2021.

Los Angeles Looks to Ram Through Again

No team has been more aggressive about a “future is now” philosophy than the Rams.  As a consequence of this franchise culture, the Rams have their first Super Bowl championship based in Los Angeles.  But the Super Bowl betting question is if they have mortgaged their future.  Consistent with their status as world champions, gamblers give Los Angeles the benefit of the doubt.  Commencing with the partnership of head coach Sean McVay and quarterback Matthew Stafford are high future expectations.  Additionally, the Rams will have championship confidence.

The High Price of America’s Team

To their credit, the Dallas Cowboys were one of the most improved teams in the 2021 NFL.  On the other hand, their NFL gambling playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers was a debacle.  Owner Jerry Jones fumed for several days and refused to announce the return of head coach Mike McCarthy until two weeks later.  Certainly, McCarthy deserved plenty of blame for a truly terrible performance against the Niners.

Correspondingly the question is if Dallas should be taken seriously.  This is the dilemma of America’s team.  Dallas draws more casual money based on branding than any other team in the NFL.  Yet there is no evidence that it is reality-based.
