Patriots Host Ravens in Week 3 Key AFC Matchup Sunday on FOX

NFL Betting: Baltimore Ravens vs. New England Patriots CashBet Sportsbook Information

Last week was one of the worst in Ravens history.  Baltimore had the Dolphins dead and buried only to let them out of the grave.  Tua Tagovailoa sparked a betting on NFL comeback win for the ages.  And a loss for the Ravens that will live in infamy.  Now Baltimore must pick themselves off the mat for a key game at the Patriots.  New England is coming off a professional win at the Steelers.  But the Patriots’ offense has been pedestrian.  Coach Bill Belichick is relying on a strong defense to survive that offensive slump.

Ravens vs. Patriots CashBet Wagering Analysis

As mentioned earlier, Baltimore is coming off a devastating sportsbook collapse.  Gamblers were furious and will need time to get over it.  Thus, there are some raised eyebrows over Baltimore’s opening as chalk.  It doesn’t seem to make sense.  This means that sharps may consider the Ravens for that reason.  New England getting points at home appeals to squares.  Of great concern is that the line is a potential trap.

Fans Raven for Defense After Baltimore Blows Lead to Dolphins

Last week, the Ravens lost 42-38 against the Dolphins as 3-point home favorites.  The game went over the total of 44.  Baltimore has a record of 1-1 straight up, 1-1 against the spread, and 1-1 over/under the total.  Overall, Baltimore ranks 12th for total offense, 9th for passing, 18th for rushing, and 5th for scoring.  Defensively they rank 32nd overall, 32nd against the pass, 8th against the rush, and 23rd for points allowed.  Also, Baltimore ranks 1st for fewest turnovers lost and 8th for takeaways

Down by three touchdowns, Tua Tagovailoa and his receivers raced past the Ravens in a stirring fourth-quarter comeback. Tagovailoa threw for 469 yards and six touchdowns.  Accordingly, four of the TDs came during the final period.  And the Dolphins rallied from a 21-point deficit to beat Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.  Tagovailoa’s 7-yard touchdown pass to Jaylen Waddle with 14 seconds left completed the incredible Betting on football comeback.  Miami trailed 35-14 with under 13 minutes remaining.  Miami had 233 yards in the fourth quarter.

Of great concern is that Baltimore isn’t where they want to be in the defensive backfield.  Despite new additions such as first-round draft pick Kyle Hamilton in the offseason.  Raven quarterback Lamar Jackson threw for 318 yards and three TDs.  Also, he ran for 119 yards and a score.  But it all went to waste.

Patriots Force Steelers to Show Rust

Last game, the Patriots won 17-14 against the Steelers as 3-point road favorites.  The game went under the NFL bets total of 40.5.  New England has a record of 1-1 straight up, 0-1-1 against the spread, and 0-2 over/under the total.  Overall, New England ranks 22nd for total offense, 17th for passing, 19th for rushing, and 30th for scoring.  Defensively they rank 4th overall, 9th against the pass, 5th against the rush, and 8th for points allowed.  Also, New England ranks 25th for fewest turnovers lost and 27th for takeaways

QB Mac Jones bounced back from a rough Week 1 performance.  In sum, he threw for 253 yards.  Including a 44-yard throw to a leaping Agholor that gave the Patriots a 10-3 lead at the break.

In comparison, the defense forced a pair of three-and-outs in the fourth quarter.  The defense was clutch after the Steelers had drawn within three.  And the special teams took advantage of a miscue by Pittsburgh punt returner Gunner Olszewski.  His muff helped New England clinch an important win.

Damien Harris ran for 71 yards.  Most of them coming on a clock-chewing drive in the final minutes.  Thus, New England played keep away as Pittsburgh’s defense sagged late.
