Lions Against Texans Betting Odds, Analysis and Picks: 2020 Thanksgiving Day

Houston Texans vs. Detroit Lions NFL best bets and odds

Detroit has never made a Super Bowl in their history.  However, the Lions do have one of the great traditions in NFL betting.   On an annual basis, the Lions host the early Thanksgiving Day game. Houston will provide the opposition this year.  Of course, both teams are struggling.  With the playoffs a pipe dream for each side.  But there will be enough gambling interest on Turkey Day to make it worthwhile.  Further, the Thanksgiving Day game at Detroit is often wild.  In essence, this once-a-year tradition serves as the Lions Super Bowl.

Lions Blanked at Carolina

In the loss at Carolina, it was as if the Lions didn’t even show up.  The Panthers held a 374 to 185 total yards advantage.   Along the same lines Carolina was up 20-10 in first downs.  Lions quarterback Matt Stafford was sacked five times.  Detroit was 3 of 14 on third-down conversions.  Offensively the Lions rank 25th in the NFL and 23rd for scoring.  Defensively Detroit ranks 27th overall and 28th for points allowed.
