Chiefs and Broncos Set for Sunday AFC West Rivalry Matchup on Week 14

Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos CashBet Wagering Analysis

In the preseason, the betting on NFL matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos was circled on everyone’s calendars.  Now it is considered an expected massacre.  The Broncos are one of the NFL’s most disappointing teams.  Accordingly, no team has done less with higher expectations.  And NBC Sunday Night Football doesn’t care about the Broncos any more.  Even against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.  So bad is Denver that NBC flexed its muscles and chose the Chargers vs. Dolphins instead.  The Chiefs and Broncos will be featured on CBS in the late afternoon.

Chiefs vs. Broncos CashBet Wagering Analysis

KC usually means the massive best sportsbook online betting handle and TV ratings.  Regardless of their opponents.  Naturally, Kansas City is back as a top-tier favorite to win the AFC.  And then make a third Super Bowl in four years.  But as impressive as the Chiefs can be, their sloppy playground style is not Super Bowl-friendly.  Still, the Chiefs will draw most of the betting activity.  Denver has lost all credibility with gamblers in 2022.

Chiefs Stumble in Cincinnati

Last game, the Kansas City Chiefs lost 27-24 against the Cincinnati Bengals as 2.5-point road favorites.  The game went under the Betting on football total of 53.  Kansas City has a record of 9-3 straight up, 3-8-1 against the spread, and 5-7 over/under the total.  Kansas City ranks 1st for total offense, 1st for passing, 18th for rushing, and 1st for scoring.  Defensively they rank 16th overall, 23rd against the pass, 6th against the rush, and 15th for points allowed.  Also, Kansas City ranks 21st for turnovers lost and 29th for takeaways

Namely, Joe Burrow executed a masterful winning drive.  Burrow completed 6 of 7 passes during a 53-yard drive.  In brief, he finished with a go-ahead 8-yard touchdown to backup running back Chris Evans.  The Bengals’ defense held Kansas City scoreless from there, and Burrow closed out the victory over the Chiefs.

To summarize, Burrow finished 25 of 31 with two touchdowns.  And he ran in for a 4-yard score to get the Bengals on the board in the first quarter.  In conclusion, he converted two third downs on passes to Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to run out the clock.

KC QB Patrick Mahomes was 16 for 27 for 223 yards and a touchdown.  And then he ran for another score.  But the Chiefs fell short on their final possession when Joseph Ossai sacked Mahomes on third-and-3 from the Bengals’ 33.  Subsequently, Harrison Butker missed a 55-yard field goal wide right.

Mahomes led Kansas City on two methodical third-quarter drives that ended in touchdowns.  While the Bengals had to settle for a pair of field goals.  That gave the Chiefs a 24-20 lead until a turnover and subsequent Cincinnati TD.

Broncos and Bankrolls Busted in Lost Season

Last game, the Denver Broncos lost 10-9 against the Baltimore Ravens as 9.5-point road dogs.  The game went under the NFL bets total of 41.  Denver has a record of 3-9 straight up, 4-8 against the spread, and 1-11 over/under the total.  Denver ranks 27th for total offense, 21st for passing, 24th for rushing, and 32nd for scoring.  Defensively they rank 3rd overall, 3rd against the pass, 19th against the rush, and 2nd for points allowed.  Also, Denver ranks 9th for turnovers lost and 21st for takeaways.

Tyler Huntley led Baltimore 91 yards in 16 plays on its final possession.  He capped it with a 2-yard touchdown run with 28 seconds remaining to give the Ravens a win over the Broncos.  Correlate that Huntley took over when Lamar Jackson left the game with a knee injury after the first quarter.
