Bucs and Chiefs Seek Sunday Night Rebound in NFL Week 4 Betting

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting CashBet Odds

Last week Tom Brady and the Buccaneers hosted Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.  It was a classic matchup of NFL quarterbacking GOATS.  Rodgers and the Pack prevailed in a tight defensive struggle.  Now, Brady and the Bucs have a similar betting on NFL showdown against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.  Further, this is also a rematch of the February 2021 Super Bowl.  That day, the Bucs upset the Chiefs with a stunning win.  Certainly, the Chiefs and Bucs could have another Super rematch next February.  Both teams opened the year as top Super Bowl betting favorites in the future market.

Colts Corral Mistake Prone Chiefs

Last game, the Kansas City Chiefs lost 20-17 against the Indianapolis Colts as 4.5-point 50.5.  The game went under the Betting on football total of 50.5.  Kansas City has a record of 2-1 straight up, 1-2 against the spread, and 1-2 over/under the total.  Kansas City ranks 7th for total offense, 6th for passing, 22nd for rushing, and 4th for scoring.  Defensively they rank 10th overall, 15th against the pass, 9th against the rush, and 17th for points allowed.  Also, KC ranks 12th for turnovers lost and 28th for takeaways.

The Colt defense frustrated Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.  Accordingly, Indianapolis gave up just a field goal in the second half and two touchdowns following turnovers in Colts territory.  While the offense did just enough to take advantage of some uncharacteristic Chiefs miscues.

But when it mattered most, Matt Ryan was at his best.  He finished 27 of 37 for 222 yards.  Despite getting sacked five times and losing two fumbles.  And he threw for touchdowns.  The first gave Indy its first lead of the season.  And then the second one gave Indy the win.

Chiefs kicker Matt Ammendola missed an extra point in the first half.  Additionally, he blew a 34-yard field goal just before Ryan led the decisive drive.  Ammendola was replacing an injured Harrison Butker.  Also, a fake KC field goal resulted in a turnover on downs.  Patrick Mahomes was 20 of 35 for 262 yards with one TD.  He was also the Chiefs’ top rusher with four carries for 26 yards.

Tampa Bay Fails to Get Bucs Against the Pack

Last game, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost 14-12 against the Green Bay Packers as 1-point home favorites.  The game went under the NFL bets total of 42.5.  Tampa Bay has a record of 2-1 straight up, 2-1 against the spread, and 0-3 over/under the total.  Tampa Bay ranks 27th for total offense, 22nd for passing, 25th for rushing, and 22nd for scoring.  Defensively they rank 4th overall, 12th against the pass, 5th against the rush, and 1st for points allowed.  Also, Tampa Bay ranks 18th for turnovers lost and 1st for takeaways.

To summarize, Aaron Rodgers threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns.  And the Packers withstood a late rally led by Tom Brady to hold off the Bucs for a big win.

The Bucs were held without a touchdown for the second straight week into the fourth quarter.  Finally, Brady led them into the end zone on a 1-yard pass to Russell Gage with 14 seconds remaining.  But Tampa Bay’s bid to force overtime with a 2-point conversion was thwarted.  Tampa Bay self-destructed when it mattered with the game on the line.  First was a delay-of-game penalty.  Following that was an incomplete pass.
