So far it has been more of the same for the Angels and Astros. Even with the winds of change, their results failed to shift early on. Houston won three of their first four games for new manager Dusty Baker. While the Angels dropped three of their first four baseball betting matchups for its new skipper Joe Maddon. Saturday night on FOX these two teams meet in an important American League West matchup. Specifically, the shortened 60-game schedule brings an unforgiving challenge. Slumps are not an option.

Houston Astros at Los Angeles Angels CashBet Wagering Analysis
Gamblers are not a sentimental sort. Thus, they are quick to ignore the Astros cheating scandal. Houston remains the class of the American League West. Baker inherits a loaded and deep roster. Counter to that is an Angels team with a poor sportsbook reputation. Pitching is likely to stall their season before it even starts. Maddon arrives as the mastermind that won a World Series with the Cubs. Yet as brilliant as Maddon is he will need better material. Especially on the mound. With all that in mind, the Astros will be a solid favorite here.
Houston Astros Probable Starts and Bullpen
Right-hander Zach Greinke is scheduled to take the hill for Houston. Greinke was lit up in his first start. Specifically, he allowed three earned runs in 3.1 innings. For 2019 Greinke was 18-5 with a 2.93 earned run average and WHIP of 1.15. Most important of all Greinke has posted an ERA of 3.48 or less in seven of the last eight years. He is a six-time All-Star including the past four years.
Closer Roberto Osuna is yet to permit a run in two innings of work. Last year he was 2-0 with 38 saves in 44 chances. Osuna posted a 2.63 ERA with 73 strikeouts in 65 innings of work.
Los Angeles Angels Probable Starter and Bullpen
Right-hander Griffin Canning is expected to get the nod for Los Angeles. The first start for Canning was three earned runs with four hits in 4.2 innings. Overall Canning was 5-6 with a 4.58 ERA in 2019. He struck out 96 batters in 90.1 innings with a WHIP of 1.22
Closer Hansel Robles allowed two runs in 2.1 innings to start 2020. In turn, he was 5-1 with 23 saves and a 2.48 ERA in 2019.
New Look Angels Getting Same Results
Initially, the Angels dropped three of their first four betting on baseball tilts. Surprisingly enough cold bats were a bigger problem at Oakland than poor pitching. CF Mike Trout stumbled out of the gate with a .214 average and one home run. Of course, the three-time AL MVP should get into gear soon.
Astros Lifts Off Starts in Top Form
Houston posted wins in three of their first four MLB betting matchups. Now it was against a terrible Seattle Mariners team. But imagine if it went the other way. Namely LF Michael Brantley was off to a promising start. Brantley was hitting .467 with an OPS of 1.329. He had two doubles, one home run, and six runs batted in.
The Houston Astros vs. Los Angeles Angels Head to Head with Spread
The Astros are 14-4 in their last 18 away games vs. the Angels. And 9-5 over the total on the road against the Angels. Los Angeles is 5-15 in their last 20 games against the Astros. And
6-2 over the total vs. Houston.
Houston Astros At Los Angeles Angels CashBet MLB Pick
In this situation, Houston has a strong betting on MLB advantage on the hill. Greinke and Osuna can’t be matched by the Angeles. Of great concern is the poor run production start by LA.
