As we saw at the 2022 Masters Tournament, parity with the Golf betting Lines is higher than ever. A few weeks ago, no casual gambler could name Scottie Scheffler. But Scheffler has changed that forever with his win at the Masters Tournament. However, Scheffler’s new Green Jacket is no guarantee of future success. Just ask Jordan Spieth, who was on top of the golf world in 2015 as the Masters Tournament champion. Since that epic season, Spieth has never quite been the same. In view of this, the remaining 2022 major tournaments are all about value.

On the whole, The Open Championship is the only tournament that can match the Masters Tournament for tradition, history, and prestige. The Old Course at St. Andrews Links is a par 72 with a total of 7305 yards. Last time that St. Andrews hosted a Golf Betting Lines event was in 2015. Collin Morikawa was the 2021 winner of The Open. Official World Golf Ranking Reveals Parity
Following the Masters, Scottie Scheffler solidified his position as the number-1 ranked player on the Official World Golf Ranking. Scheffler took the point after his Golf Betting Lines win at the World Golf Championship – Dell Technologies Match Play. The Masters Tournament was Scheffler’s fourth win in his most recent six events. As a result of his recent success, Scheffler will be one of the hottest properties on the board. Gamblers will have to be careful about assessing Scheffler’s value from now on.
Second place on the Official World Golf Ranking has been Collin Morikawa for several weeks. Of course, Morikawa hasn’t actually won a tournament since the DP World Tour Championship Dubai at the end of 2021. However, his win at the 2021 Open Championship puts him in high standing with gamblers.
Jon Rahm led the Official World Golf Ranking for most of the past two years.
Rahm’s last win was at the TOUR Championship in 2021. In like manner to Morikawa, Rahm was then winner of the US Open. Consequently, when a gambler wins a major, he gets extra respect from the betting public.
