Three More Majors Upcoming With the 2022 Golf Betting Lines

2022 PGA Championship and odds analysis

As we saw at the 2022 Masters Tournament, parity with the Golf betting Lines is higher than ever.  A few weeks ago, no casual gambler could name Scottie Scheffler.  But Scheffler has changed that forever with his win at the Masters Tournament.  However, Scheffler’s new Green Jacket is no guarantee of future success.  Just ask Jordan Spieth, who was on top of the golf world in 2015 as the Masters Tournament champion.  Since that epic season, Spieth has never quite been the same.  In view of this, the remaining 2022 major tournaments are all about value.

2022 PGA Championship

When: May 19-22, 2022
Where: Southern Hills, Tulsa, Oklahoma

Last year Phil Mickelson scored an epic Bitcoin Sportsbook win for the ages with his win at the PGA Championship.  Mickelson was the eighth different PGA champion in the last nine years.  Overall, the Southern Hills Country Club is a par 71 with a length of 7481 yards.  It was originally designed by Perry Maxwell in 1936 and renovated by Gol Hanse in 2019.

2022 US Open

When: June 16-19, 2022
Where: The Country Club, Brookline, Massachusetts

Specifically, the US Open will be held at Brookline, Massachusetts.  The Country Club is a par 71 with 7033 yards in length.   Jon Rahm beat the Golf Betting odds for the 2021 US Open championship.  Rahm was the fourth different winner in the past four years.  Brooks Koepka was the last repeat champion in 2017-2018.

2022 The Open

When: July 14-17, 2022
Where: St. Andrews (Old Course), Scotland

On the whole, The Open Championship is the only tournament that can match the Masters Tournament for tradition, history, and prestige.  The Old Course at St. Andrews Links is a par 72 with a total of 7305 yards.  Last time that St. Andrews hosted a Golf Betting Lines event was in 2015.  Collin Morikawa was the 2021 winner of The Open.  There have been 13 different winners in the past 13 years.  Padraig Harrington was the last repeat champion in 2007-2008.  And then Tiger Woods repeated in 2005-2006.

Official World Golf Ranking Reveals Parity

Following the Masters, Scottie Scheffler solidified his position as the number-1 ranked player on the Official World Golf Ranking.  Scheffler took the point after his Golf Betting Lines win at the World Golf Championship – Dell Technologies Match Play.  The Masters Tournament was Scheffler’s fourth win in his most recent six events.  As a result of his recent success, Scheffler will be one of the hottest properties on the board.  Gamblers will have to be careful about assessing Scheffler’s value from now on.

Second place on the Official World Golf Ranking has been Collin Morikawa for several weeks.  Of course, Morikawa hasn’t actually won a tournament since the DP World Tour Championship Dubai at the end of 2021.  However, his win at the 2021 Open Championship puts him in high standing with gamblers.

Jon Rahm led the Official World Golf Ranking for most of the past two years.

Rahm’s last win was at the TOUR Championship in 2021.  In like manner to Morikawa, Rahm was then winner of the US Open.  Consequently, when a gambler wins a major, he gets extra respect from the betting public.
