2021 US Open CashBet Odds Overview

On the whole, Torrey Pines rates as one of America’s best golf courses.  It combines picturesque beauty and challenging play.  The course is 7685 yards with a par 71.  Accordingly, the US Open rotates each year to the best courses in the United States.  Bryson DeChambeau is the defending US Open Champion.  Cause by the US Open being a major tournament, the FedEx Cup Points increase from the usual 500 to 600. This week’s purse is $12.5 million.

Of course, Torrey Pines hosts the annual Farmers Insurance Open.  But it is best remembered for an epic Tiger Woods sports betting win at the 2008 US Open.  Playing in great pain, Woods won the US Open in sudden death. But, until his win at the 2020 Masters Tournament, it ranked as one of Wood’s greatest triumphs.

2021 US Open Top Contenders

Jon Rahm Seeks First Major Win

Overall, Jon Rahm ranks third on the Official World Golf Ranking.  So far in 2021, Rahm’s best finish is second at the Zozo Championship at Sherwood.  Rahm finished fifth at the Masters Tournament and World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play.  Last time that Rahm beat the Golf Betting odds was at the BMW Championship.  Rahm has never won a major tournament.  His best finish at a major was 3rd at the 2019 US Open.

Rahm was leading The Memorial Tournament earlier this month.  But was sent home after testing positive for COVID.  What was most absurd is that the tournament could have made accommodations.  Instead, The Memorial and PGA chose to virtue signal.  Rahm could bring extra motivational fire this week based on that experience.

Brooks Koepka Seeks Third US Open Title

Despite being in poor recent form with the Golf Betting Lines, Brooks Koepka is the second choice.  Koepka is 10th on the Official World Golf Ranking.  He missed the cut at the Palmetto Championship at Congaree.  As a result, he dropped three slots on the OWGR.  Koepka was the winner of the 2021 Waste Management Phoenix Open.  But he missed the cut in three of his previous four events.  Of course, Koepka has two career US Open wins from 2017 and 2018. In addition, he has PGA Championships in 2018 and 2019.

Dustin Johnson Seeks Resurgence

First on the Official World Golf Ranking is Dustin Johnson.  He was the winner of the 2016 US Open and 2020 Masters Tournament.  Since that Masters Tournament win, Johnson hasn’t been in top form.  His lone win this year was at the Saudi International.  Johnson has finished 13th or worse in seven of his last eight events.

Jordan Spieth Makes Leap

At the beginning of the year, Jordan Spieth was 92nd on the Official World Golf Ranking.  He climbed to 23rd entering this week.  Spieth was the winner of the 2015 US Open.  Additionally, Spieth won the 2015 Masters Tournament and 2017 Open.  Spieth was in a three-year slump but is pulling out of it.
