Which Tigers Will Gamblers Get?

Last game, the LSU Tigers lost 38-23 against the Texas A&M Aggies as 10-point road favorites.  The game went over the Betting on College Football total of 47.5.  LSU has a record of 9-3 straight up, 7-4 against the spread, and 6-6 over/under the total.  LSU ranks 34th for total offense, 55th for passing, 36th for rushing, and 39th for scoring.  Defensively they rank 33rd overall, 34th against the pass, 57th against the rush, and 33rd for points allowed.  Also, LSU ranks 121st for fewest turnovers lost and 120th for takeaways.

Devon Achane had a career-best 215 yards rushing with two touchdowns.  Hence, Texas A&M stunned LSU.  As a result, they likely knocked the Tigers out of contention for the CFP.  Conner Weigman threw two TD passes for the Aggies.  And then Demani Richardson returned a fumble for a score.  The game was tied at 17-all in the third quarter before A&M scored 21 straight points.

Previously, LSU had already won the SEC West and secured a chance to play for the conference title.  In turn, a win could have put the Tigers in the playoff.  But with three losses, even beating the Bulldogs likely won’t be enough.  Overall, Jayden Daniels threw for 189 yards and ran for 84 more.  While John Emery had three touchdowns for the Tigers,

Georgia Flexes as National Championship Chalk

Last game, the Georgia Bulldogs won 37-14 against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets as 36.5-point home favorites.  The game went over the bet on NCAAF total of 49.  Georgia has a record of 12-0 straight up, 6-6 against the spread, and 4-7-1 over/under the total.  Georgia ranks 8th for total offense, 19th for passing, 23rd for rushing, and 12th for scoring.  Defensively they rank 4th overall, 23rd against the pass, 1st against the rush, and 1st for points allowed.  Also, Georgia ranks 98th for fewest turnovers lost and 92nd for takeaways.

Namely, Stetson Bennett threw two touchdown passes.  Georgia completed back-to-back undefeated regular seasons for the first time in school history.  UGA overcame a slow start to beat Georgia Tech.  Georgia was down 7-0 early and led only 10-7 at halftime.  However, the Bulldogs overpowered the Yellow Jackets to score 37 unanswered points with their running game.  Hence UGA notched their fifth consecutive win in the state rivalry.

Kenny McIntosh and Kendall Milton ran for touchdowns.  Correlate that Georgia outrushed Georgia Tech 264-40.  The slow start was frustrating for Bennett.  But the senior couldn’t complain about the finish in his final home game.  To show, Georgia pulled away in the fourth quarter.  Bennett’s 83-yard pass to McIntosh was the Bulldogs’ longest pass of the season.  And it set up McIntosh’s 2-yard scoring run.  Late on, Milton added a 44-yard scoring run.

McIntosh posted game-leading totals of 86 rushing yards and 91 receiving yards on two catches.  In comparison, Bennett completed 10 of 18 passes for 140 yards and two touchdowns.
