Kentucky vs. Florida CashBet Wagering Analysis

Last week both teams posted impressive best sportsbook online wins.  Florida’s was more prominent against the defending Pac-12 champions on prime-time ESPN.  The win has ignited interest in the Gators’ program and its prospects under new head coach Billy Napier.

Florida Steps Out in Napier Debut

The Florida Gators are coming off a 29-26 win over the Utah Utes as 2.5-point home dogs.  The game went over the Betting on College Football total of 51.5.  Thus, the Gators delivered their biggest season-opening victory in over 50 years.

Namely, Anthony Richardson ran for three scores in his second career start.  Including a 2-yard scamper with 1:25 remaining.  Florida upset seventh-ranked Utah 29-26 on Saturday night to get the Napier era off to a rousing start.

Richardson was the best player on the field most of the night.  Most important of all, he delivered in the clutch.  In comparison, fifth-year linebacker Amari Burney was the one who sealed the victory for the rebuilding Gators.  Burney intercepted Cam Rising’s second-down pass into the end zone with 17 seconds remaining.

As a result of the win, there was a wild celebration for many of the 90,799 in attendance.  Richardson took a knee following the pick, and the Gators rushed the field to celebrate.  It was their 33rd consecutive victory in home season openers.  Accordingly, that’s the longest current streak in the nation.

Richardson ran 11 times for 106 yards and was never stopped for a loss.  He completed 17 of 24 passes for 168 yards with no turnovers.

Kentucky Sets the Tone for 2022 Run

The Kentucky Wildcats are coming off a 37-13 home win over the Miami-OH Redhawks as 16.5-point home favorites.  The game went under the bet on NCAAF total of 54.5.

Barion Brown returned the second-half kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown.  And then Keidron Smith’s fumble return less than a minute later set up another score.  Subsequently, the Wildcats pulled away to beat Miami.

Coach Mark Stoops’ 60th victory tied him with Paul ”Bear” Bryant as the Wildcats’ winningest coach after ten seasons with the program.  Naturally, Stoops was quick not to compare himself to the Bear.  But it is a landmark achievement for a school that used to struggle at football.

Virginia Tech transfer Tayvion Robinson supplied Kentucky’s other chunk plays.  In sum, he caught six passes for a career-high 136 yards in his Wildcats debut. Kentucky outgained the Redhawks 353-290.

Newcomers factored big for Kentucky.  To illuminate, Stoops used at least a dozen freshmen.  Along with several transfers. Brown and Keidron Smith provided the turning points.  But Tayvion Robinson set the scene with two 40-yard receptions and 103 yards after the catch.

The Wildcats played without leading rusher Chris Rodriguez.  Stoops said he was unavailable along with linebacker Jordan Wright.  But no specific reasons were given.  Additionally, Stoops said that Rodriguez and other players could face multi-game suspensions this week for undisclosed reasons.
