Arkansas State Red Wolves Betting Analysis
In their opening game, Arkansas failed to get past Memphis Tigers when they were forced to settle with a final score of 37-24. The Red Wolves squandered a 14-7 lead after the first quarter of the game. It was not long when the Tigers took a 30-10 lead and put the Red Wolves behind for good. Layne Hatcher managed to throw 166 yards and Logan Bonner touched 133 throwing yards. Bonner had two interceptions and one touchdown. Isiah Azubuike and Ryan Graham contributed rushing touchdowns for the Red Wolves in their losing effort.
Kansas State Wildcats secured the fourth spot in the Big 12 Conference play alongside Iowa State. The Wildcats won five of their nine conference games while they held an overall record of 8-5. Kansas will have new issues to deal with as 28 players that left were seniors. Most of them were in the key spots for their team as 15 of those 28 were starters. Skylar Thompson will continue his quarterback spot for the Wildcats as he leads the offense. Thompson touched 2,315 throwing yards last season with 23 touchdowns in total.
The big change will be the return of Justin Hughes to the linebacker spot. Hughes missed out the entire last season due to an injury. Back in the 2018 season, Hughes was the leading tackler with 56 tackles. Daniel Green, Elijah Sullivan and Cody Fletcher will be the other players that contribute alongside Hughes. The defensive lineman spot will be taken by Wyatt Hubert. That sums up the Kansas State squad for this season.
Arkansas State Red Wolves vs. Kansas State Wildcats Pick
The NCAAF pick for this match is Kansas State Wildcats -10. Kansas State has Thompson as their quarterback alongside a number of players that will outrun the Red Wolves in this game. The biggest advantage will be Hughes leading the linebacker corps. Back the Wildcats to secure an easy victory in this game and cover the spread. Final Score Prediction, Kansas State Wildcats win 42-14.
