Ole Miss coach Kermit Davis is struggling to gain traction. The third-year coach led the Rebels to a March Madness betting bid in his first campaign. Last year was a big step back at 15-17. This year the Rebels are struggling to stay above water. Lack of offense is the biggest problem Davis is facing. Tennessee coach Rick Barnes has built one of the top defenses in the country. Discipline and structure have put UT in the thick of the SEC race. Of great concern is an offense that may go dark at Tournament time.
