Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Tennessee Volunteers CashBet betting Information

Tennessee Volunteer head coach Rick Barnes has an imposing Hall of Fame resume.  Barnes has a career record of 772-398 with a win percentage of .660.  At the onset, when Barnes arrived in Tennessee in 2015, he inherited a dispirited program.  Tennessee needed a March Madness betting blood transfusion.  By his third season, Barnes put the Vols in the NCAA Tournament.  Previously as head coach of the Texas Longhorns, Barnes led the program to the Big Dance in 16 of his 17 seasons.  At Clemson, it was three Big Dance bids in four years.

Alabama vs. Tennessee CashBet Wagering Analysis

Yet for all of his success, Rick Barnes has only one Final Four.  And that is what torments Vol Nation.  That and a serious lack of scoring ability.  Of great concern to best sportsbook online gamblers is that putrid Tennessee offense.  The Volunteers are learning that elite defense is not enough.  By contrast, Alabama is one of the most complete teams in the country.  And gamblers are taking notice.

Tide Rolling to Top Seed and Perhaps Much More

Overall, the Alabama Crimson Tide are 22-3 straight up, 15-9-1 against the spread, and 11-13 over/under the total.  Alabama has 2023 March Madness Betting rankings of 7th for scoring offense, 169th for field goal percentage, 140th for 3-point field goal percentage, 166th for free throw percentage, and 1st for offensive rebounding.  While on defense, Alabama has national rankings of 151st for scoring defense, 3rd for field goal percentage permitted, 2nd for 3-point field goal percentage allowed, and 320th for defensive rebounding.

Late on, Alabama paid in three of its previous five games.  Three of those games stayed under the total.  Brandon Miller leads the Crimson Tide with 18.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per contest.  Following their big win at Auburn on Saturday, the Tide leads the SEC race by two games over the Texas A&M Aggies.  Alabama continues to challenge the Purdue Boilermakers and Houston Cougars for the number-one ranking in the country.

Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nate Oats signed an extension that will keep him in Tuscaloosa through the end of the 2028-29 season.  In turn, Oats has made Alabama a national title contender.  The winning has created enthusiasm for basketball in T-Town.  Now in this fourth season on the job, Oats will take the Tide to its third consecutive NCAA Tournament.  And a Final Four berth is more possible than ever.

Alabama has answered the bell to make a serious effort at basketball.  Auburn’s Final Four campaign of 2019 caused a great awakening.  As a result, Alabama realized all of the SEC TV money coming in could help develop a serious hoops program.

Tennessee is Stuck With Half a Team

The Tennessee Volunteers are 19-6 straight up, 13-12 against the spread, and 11-14 over/under the total.  In sum, Tennessee has national rankings of 158th for scoring offense, 263rd for field goal percentage, 252nd for 3-point field goal percentage, 121st for free throw percentage, and 6th for offensive rebounding.  While on defense, Tennessee has national rankings of 3rd for scoring defense, 2nd for field goal percentage permitted, 1st for 3-point field goal percentage allowed and 42nd for defensive rebounding.

Late on, Tennessee failed to cover its last four bets on NCAA basketball games.  Three of those games went under the total.  On Saturday, an 86-85 home loss to the Missouri Tigers was a catastrophic flop.  Especially coming on the heels of a 66-65 loss at Vanderbilt earlier last week.  In the SEC race, Tennessee has fallen four games behind the Alabama Crimson Tide.  The Vols continue to pay the price for lack of offense.
