Curtis Blaydes
Curtis Blaydes is fast rising in the UFC and at 29 years old, he is already looking at his first crack a the UFC heavyweight championship since making his debut in April 2016. This is his highest ranking in the division at second-overall and a win here will make him earn a title shot. He has shown a lot of improvement for the past years as he won eight of his last nine fights. He is now on a four-fight winning streak and in one of those matches, Blaydes defeated former champion, Junior dos Santos. His last fight was against Alexander Volkov just this June and he won that fight via split decision.
Derrick Lewis
Derrick Lewis has been around the UFC since April 14. He is no stranger to title shots and his last attempt to take the UFC heavyweight championship was back on November 3, 2018 in UFC 230. “The Black Bear” took on Daniel Cormier but eventually submitting to him via rear-naked choke in the second round. He lost his following fight after that against Junior dos Santos but went on a three-fight winning streak after. This 35-year-old fighter took down Blagoy Ivanov, Ilir Latifi and the most recent matchup was against Alexey Oleynik. Looks like Lewis has a lot left in his career as he knocked out Oleynik in the second round with a barrage of punches.
