The Ultimate Fighting Championship is set for another great event to kick-off the month of October with UFC on ESPN 16. It will be former UFC Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm testing her skills against the rising Israel Aldana to earn the right to face the reigning champion, Amanda Nunes. This match is set to happen on Saturday, October 3 and it will be held in the “Fight Island” aka Flash Forum, Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The match will start at around 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time and it will be shown via UFC Fight Pass and Pay Per View. This should be close but according to UFC Odds, Holly Holm is still the best bet to win this match against Irene Aldana.

Holly Holm is known as “the Preacher’s Daughter” and she was responsible for giving Ronda Rousey her first defeat in the UFC. She is now 38 years old and still going strong as her skills are being polished by the famous Jackson-Wink MMA stable. At five-foot-eight, her best skills are going stand-up with her background in kickboxing. Her last match happened in UFC 246 and she was able you outlast Raquel Pennington in three rounds to earn the unanimous decision victory. Irene Aldana has been longing for a title fight ever since coming to the UFC. In her last six matches, she won five of them and her only loss was to Raquel Pennington. She is coming to this match after winning her last two and the last one was in UFC 245 when she went up against Ketlen Vieira. Aldana knocked her on the ground with nine seconds left in the first round. She is a product of the Lobo Gym MMA stable and she now has a 12-5 professional record after her latest win. Half of her matches were knockouts which makes her a very exciting fighter to watch inside the cage.
