Popular But Slumping Santos Faces Resurgent Hill

Jamahal Hill has a career online sportsbook record of ten wins and one loss.  He is riding a 2-bout winning streak.  Meanwhile, Thiago Santos has a career record of 22 wins and ten losses.  Santos has lost four of his last five bouts.  Both Hill and Santos are aspiring light heavyweight contenders.

Thus, the pressure will be on full blast in this Saturday night’s main event.  The winner is an inside track to a potential championship fight opportunity.  But for the loser is the potential danger of a permanent setback.

Of great concern is the recent slump of Thiago Santos.  Santos has not been the same since his loss to Jon Jones for the UFC light heavyweight championship.  Jones won a split decision on July 6, 2019, at UFC 239 from Las Vegas, Nevada.  Santos has performed poorly in the UFC bets matchups that followed.  There is a sense that he is still re-fighting that bout against Jones.  Instead, gamblers believe that Santos should regain focus on the present.

Last time out for Santos was a unanimous decision loss to Magomed Ankalaev on March 12, 2022.  UFC Fight Night from Las Vegas, Nevada, was the event.  On October 2, 2021, Santos won a unanimous decision against Johnny Walker.  UFC Fight Night from Las Vegas, Nevada, was the venue for that triumph.

On March 6, 2021, Santos lost a unanimous decision to Aleksandar Rakic.  UFC 259 from Las Vegas, Nevada, was the event.  And then, on November 7, 2020, Santos lost 3rd round submission choke to Glover Teixeira.  UFC on ESPN from Las Vegas, Nevada, was the event.

Last time out for Jamahal Hill was on February 19, 2022.  Hill won a 1st round knockout over Johnny Walker.  UFC Fight Night from Las Vegas, Nevada, was the MMA betting event.  Hill won Performance of the Night honors in the win.  On December 4, 2021, Hill won a 1st round knockout over Jimmy Crute.  UFC on ESPN from Las Vegas, Nevada, was the venue.

On June 12, 2021, Hill suffered the only Online sportsbook loss of his career.  To show, Paul Craig beat Hill in a 1st round knockout.  UFC 263 from Glendale, Arizona, was the event.

Luque Seeks Redemption

Overall, Vincente Luque has a career record of 21 wins and eight losses.  He is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Belal Muhammad on April 16, 2022.  UFC on ESPN from Las Vegas, Nevada, was the event.  As a result, Luque had a 4-bout winning streak snapped.

Geoff Neal is 14-4 for his career.  Last time in the octagon, Neal won a split decision against Santiago Ponzinibbio.  UFC 269 on December 11, 2021, was the Las Vegas, Nevada event.
