The Vegas Golden Knights asserted their mastery to open the nhl season start on a resounding note via a 5-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday. Albeit without the presence of their fans, the Golden Knights were able to protect home ice and they are looking to replicate their performance when they face the Ducks anew at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise Nevada on Saturday. Crossing paths inside the same venue for the second time in three days, each team can bank their respective strengths as they look to clinch the win in the early back-to-back schedule. The Ducks will be using the Friday day off to quickly recover and move past the opening defeat; the Golden Knights, on the other hand, are hoping to sustain the momentum in order to sweep the showdown.

Anaheim Ducks vs. Vegas Golden Knights CashBet Wagering Analysis
NHL 2021 season tag the home team as the runaway favorites with a -227 match winner price. The total line is over/under six goals. The teams went on to score a total of seven last timeout, and it won’t be surprising if the same offensive efficiency is displayed anew on Saturday. The Golden Knights proved that they are indeed the much better team by taking care of the deciding period to secure the win. It will take a significant amount of effort from the Ducks if they aim to defy their +181 underdog price.
Ducks Down but Unbowed
The Ducks bucked a slow start, which had them trailing 0-2 early, and quickly went back into stance after the first period. Their ability to take the first haymaker to start the season and be able to recover immediately was an indication that Anaheim can put up a worthy competitor against the likes of the Golden Knights. In fact, Ducks coach Dallas Eakins himself was an image of optimism even after his squad failed to stop Stone’s exploits late in the game. Instead, the tactician put a premium on how his team managed to stay the course amid the awful start. The body language was promising for a team that has just lost their first assignment of the season. And although they are entering the same battlefield as huge underdogs, Anaheim is confident that they are capable of pulling off an upset.
Momentum on the Side of the Golden Knights
The Golden Knights unleashed a crippling salvo in their opener, catching the Ducks off guard and in search of answers as the former went on to drop the hammer. At the forefront of the crucial late-game run was Mark Stone, whose heroics gave Vegas enough cushion to keep the Ducks at bay. The big-time plays from the star captain were all that the Golden Knights needed, especially when the Ducks tried to put up a gritty fight down the stretch. Well enough, the 28-year old deserved to be hailed as he waved into the empty arena in jest after being recognized as the best player of the match.
