Following two blowout wins to start the series, the Carolina Hurricanes were a powerful betting favorite over the New Jersey Devils with the NHL lines. Gamblers ran for the tall grass to avoid taking New Jersey. As a result, bargain hunters jumped on a bargain-hunting opportunity to take the Devils at home. And New Jersey rewarded those contrarian players with a resounding Game 3 win to get back into the series. But the Devils failed to even up the series with a Game 4 loss. Carolina can clinch the series with a Game 5 win.
