Last year the Bucks and Suns caught the NBA betting world off guard with their meeting in the 2021 NBA Finals. Phoenix won the first two games only to get swept out in the next four. It is true that the Suns were considered an accidental Western Conference champion. And when the NBA Futures market opened last summer, the Suns did not generate a lot of business. In like manner, the Bucks were not a top-tier favorite when they hoisted the Lawrence O’Brien Trophy. This year Milwaukee and Phoenix solidified their credentials.

At the onset of the 2022 NBA Playoffs, the best sportsbook online public has returned to form. Usually, the previous season’s champions open as the betting favorites to repeat. Although that was not the case when the regular season started, it is for the playoffs. Milwaukee and Phoenix are the co-favorites to meet in the 2022 NBA Finals.
However, there are plenty of other strong betting on NBA alternatives for bargain hunters. Brooklyn was the hot property in the preseason futures market but was decimated by injuries. Golden State was carried by strong defense and Stephen Curry but lacks depth. Still, the Warriors brand has plenty of cache with casual gamblers. The same holds true for the Celtics. Boston is one of the most powerful brands on the board.
Miami had a phenomenal pro basketball betting regular season. However, gamblers remain skeptical about their ability to survive the brutality of four best-of-seven playoff series. And then the Philadelphia 76ers remain an NBA betting enigma. While the Memphis Grizzlies are the best team that nobody has ever heard of.
More Bucks for Milwaukee in 2022 Eastern Conference Playoffs?
For the first four months of the season, the Bucks were a major basketball betting disappointment. To illuminate, Milwaukee had an obvious championship hangover. But in the final two months, the Bucks showed their championship mettle. Of course, Milwaukee has the ultimate advantage in Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek Freak is a 2-time NBA Most Valuable Player and carried the Bucks to a world championship. You always have a chance when you have the best player on Earth. And as Milwaukee showed last year, they can clamp down defensively when needed.
Suns Continue to Rise in the Face of Skepticism
Last year Phoenix was derided for taking advantage of an injury-ravaged Western Conference. But this year, the Suns not only dominated the hardwood but were strong NBA gambling values that turned a profit. This year Phoenix brings the confidence of a defending Western Conference champion. Devin Booker has emerged as an NBA Superstar and is well supported by Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton. Nobody is deriding the Suns anymore.
Nothing But Empty Nets for Brooklyn
At the beginning of last season, the Nets were touted as the newest version of the Dream Team. And with plenty of good reason. However, it has been one injury after another for Brooklyn. And then there was the blockbuster trade of James Harden to the 76ers for troubled Philadelphia playoff scapegoat Ben Simmons. Simmons will miss the entire 2022 NBA Playoffs due to injury. Brooklyn is overpriced and overrated.
Boston to Shower Gamblers with Celtic Green?
The Boston Celtics were the most impressive team in the final three months of the regular season. Following a lackluster start, Boston returned to its winning formula of team play and strong defense. Most important of all, the Celtics became one of the most reliable values on the board.
