Defense will be the theme of this series and as the scoring gets lower, the Miami Heat gains an advantage. James Harden will not be producing like he used to and Joel Embiid needs to be a force for the Philadelphia 76ers to give their opponents a good challenge.

Sixers Need More from Their Bench to Overcome the Heat

It is already a given that Joel Embiid and James Harden will be leading the team but they need more than their stars and starters to move to the next rebound. Tyrese Maxey has stepped up to be another offensive force for the team along with Tobias Harris. The Sixers will need players like Shake Milton and Georges Niang to become factors in this series since the Heat are very deep in their rotation. Veteran shooter Danny Green has been very serviceable as an outside threat but they need more from Furkan Kormaz to contribute more as compared to his role against the Toronto Raptors.

Heat Needs to Dictate the Tempo

The Miami Heat have finished the season as the best team in the NBA Eastern Conference but there are still doubters that they can bring home the ultimate prize. In every series that they come in, there will always be the shade of the doubt especially since they have no guaranteed 30-point scorer. Jimmy Butler has led this team and helped establish the culture along with Bam Adebayo controlling the paint. But the real strength of the Heat is their depth and they have another weapon waiting to be unleashed in Victor Oladipo. This is a good problem for coach Erik Spoelstra and it is a challenge to balance the player’s minutes.
