Memphis Paying at a Lesser Rate

Late on, the Grizzlies have covered only five of their most recent 11 betting on NBA matchups.  Four of their most recent six games stayed under the total.  Of course, point guard Ja Morant is the straw that sits the drink for Memphis.  In the 2022 NBA Playoffs, Morant is averaging a team-best 23.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 10.4 assists per game.  Morant averaged 27.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per contest in the regular season.

Golden State obviously studied the Minnesota game tapes hard.  Despite not being a good defensive team, Minnesota held Morant under his regular-season production averages in most games.  Golden State has the basketball betting advantage of being one of the elite defensive teams in the Association.  Thus, Morant may face an even greater challenge against the Warriors.

Desmond Bane has given Morant solid support in the playoffs.  To show, Bane is averaging 21.4 points per game in the pro basketball betting postseason.  In the regular season, Bane averaged 18.2 points per game.

Curry and Company Come Together for New Run to Glory

Despite a strong start to the 2022 NBA Playoffs, the Warriors have covered only three of their last six games.  Five of Golden State’s most recent six games have gone over the total.  Golden State was never considered a strong defensive team.  And yet they have become one in 2021-22.  Head coach Steve Kerr realized that the Warriors lacked the overall talent of their dynasty years.  Consequently, the Warriors had to adapt and tighten on the back end.

Naturally, Stephen Curry leads the Warriors with 27.3 points per game in the playoffs.  Curry was a top NBA gambling asset in the regular season with 25.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game.

Additionally, Jordan Poole has exploded into prominence.  To illuminate, Poole is averaging 22.7 points per game in the 2022 NBA Playoffs.  By contrast, Poole averaged 18.5 points per contest in the regular season.

Likewise, another Warriors guard, Klay Thompson, averages 21.3 points per game.  And then Andrew Wiggins brings 14.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.
