At the onset of the season, nobody had the Giants on their NL pennant radar. San Diego was touted as the biggest threat to the Dodgers in the National League West. The Padres bring one of baseball’s best pitching staffs to the diamond. However, their run production is an MLB betting disappointment. San Francisco has quality pitching too. Run production ranks in the middle of the pack but has been timely.
Meanwhile, the Dodgers are discovering two rivals that may not go away. San Francisco will host San Diego on Saturday. FS1 brings a matchup of top NL contenders.
