CFB Betting: Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Arkansas Razorbacks Information

Last week the Alabama Crimson Tide faced an outmanned Vanderbilt Commodores program.  The Tide rolled as expected for an easy NCAAF bets payout.  Still, gamblers are concerned about the Alabama team that barely got out of Texas alive.  Consider that the Longhorns had the Crimson Tide on the ropes.  But Texas let Alabama off the hook at the pivotal moment.  But it was a lesson about lesser teams being able to compete with Nick Saban’s dynasty.  The Arkansas Razorbacks are coming off a gut-wrenching loss against the Texas A&M Aggies.  They should have won it.

Alabama vs. Arkansas CashBet Wagering Analysis

Gamblers have conflicting best sportsbook online views on the Razorbacks and Crimson Tide.  Certainly, Arkansas is a rapidly improving program.  But they are not yet at the level of Alabama.  Especially roster-wise.  The Crimson Tide has a deeper roster and greater confidence as a dynasty.  Alabama will be overpriced for this game at Fayetteville.  Cause by their brand as the ultimate college football program.  The Razorbacks could provide strong value as a quality home dog.

Tide Rolls Past Vandy

Last game, the Alabama Crimson Tide rolled 55-3 against the Vanderbilt Commodores as 40.5-point home favorites.  The game went under the betting on College Football total of 61.5.  Alabama has a record of 4-0 straight up, 3-1 against the spread, and 1-3 over/under the total.  Alabama ranks 5th for total offense, 32nd for passing, 10th for rushing, and 6th for scoring.  Defensively they rank 3rd overall, 9th against the pass, 4th against the rush, and 3rd for points allowed.  Also, Alabama ranks 39th for turnovers lost and 127th for takeaways.

Heisman Trophy quarterback Bryce Young passed for a season-high 385 yards and four touchdowns.  Hence, No. 2 Alabama beat Vanderbilt Saturday night in the Southeastern Conference opener for both teams.  It was the first 300-yard game of the season for the reigning Heisman winner, who didn’t play in the fourth quarter.  Yet he still completed 25 of 36 passes.  It also was a different cast of characters for a Tide offense that lost its top three receivers.  To summarize, Alabama outgained Vandy 628-129 in total yards.

Hogs Give One Away to Aggies

Last game, the Arkansas Razorbacks lost 23-21 against the Texas A&M Aggies as 1-point dogs.  The game went under the bet on NCAAF total of 51.5.  Arkansas has a record of 2-1straight up, 2-2 against the spread, and 2-1-1 over/under the total.  Arkansas ranks 24th for total offense, 74th for passing, 8th for rushing, and 56th for scoring.  Defensively they rank 94th overall, 126th against the pass, 29th against the rush, and 77th for points allowed.  Also, Arkansas ranks 116th for turnovers lost and 105th for takeaways.

Demani Richardson picked up an Arkansas and went 82 yards on a wild fumble return touchdown.   KJ Jefferson lost the ball when inexplicably trying to leap over the blocking linemen on a first-down play from 3.  To show, Arkansas had a chance for a 21-7 lead late in the first half.  But the Arkansas quarterback ended up going straight up.  And the ball was knocked out of his hands by linebacker Chris Russell.

Meanwhile, Texas A&M scored 23 consecutive points after falling behind early.  And they wore down the 10th-ranked Razorbacks 23-21 on Saturday night.  Texas A&M quarterback Max Johnson was 11-of-21 passing for 151 yards in his second A&M start.  In comparison, Jefferson completed 12 of 19 passes for 171 yards.  And he ran 18 times for 105 yards.  Jefferson had a 6-yard scoring run with 10 minutes left in the game.

The Aggies recovered from their slow start offensively when they went 3-and-out on their first four drives.  Initially, they trailed 14-0 midway through the second quarter.
