LSU Tigers vs. Ole Miss Rebels Betting Information

Two new head coaches will square off in the Swamp on Saturday.  Brian Kelly of LSU has done Better than expected.  But the Tigers will not win anything big this year.  Kelly left Notre Dame for LSU based on the future.  Kelly knows that at LSU, the NCAAF bets sky is the limit.  These days he is plotting to build a national champion while being respectable on the field.  In like manner, Lane Kiffin is making something special at Ole Miss.  Kiffin inherited a program that suffered from recruiting and infrastructure neglect.  Now they are SEC contenders.

Ole Miss Undefeated But Under the Radar

Last game, the Ole Miss Rebels won 48-34 against the Auburn Tigers as 14.5-point home favorites.  The game went over the Betting on College Football total of 55.5.  Ole Miss has a record of 7-0 straight up, 3-4 against the spread, and 3-4 over/under the total.  Ole Miss ranks 14th for total offense, 78th for passing, 3rd for rushing, and 15th for scoring.  Defensively they rank 39th overall, 33rd against the pass, 72nd against the rush, and 16th for points allowed.  Also, Ole Miss ranks 49th for fewest turnovers lost and 60th for takeaways.

Jaxson Dart ran for 115 yards.  In turn, he was one of three Mississippi 100-yard rushers.  And the ninth-ranked Rebels rolled up 448 on the ground in a win over Auburn.  It was the first time since 1976 that the Rebels had three 100-yard rushers in a game.

Ole Miss is 7-0 for just the second time since 1962 and the first time since 2014.  The Rebels raced to a 21-0 lead and never trailed.  Although Auburn pulled as close as 28-24 in the third quarter.  Quinton Judkins had 139 yards on 25 carries and scored on a 41-yard run with 6:26 remaining to build the final margin.

Dart finished 9 of 19 for 130 yards with three touchdown passes.  Additionally, he ran for 115 on 14 carries.  It was his second 100-yard rushing game of the season.  Zach Evans had 136 yards on 21 carries and a touchdown.

LSU Rebounds with Gator Meat at Swamp

Last game, the LSU Tigers won 45-35 against the Florida Gators as 1.5-point road dogs.  The game went over the bet on NCAAF total of 51.5.  LSU has a record of 5-2 straight up, 4-3 against the spread, and 2-5 over/under the total.  LSU ranks 38th for total offense, 43rd for passing, 50th for rushing, and 42nd for scoring.  Defensively they rank 27th overall, 24th against the pass, 70th against the rush, and 31st for points allowed.  Also, LSU ranks 119th for fewest turnovers lost and 94th for takeaways.

LSU scored touchdowns on its first six possessions.  In sum, the Tigers rolled up 469 yards on those drives.  LSU picked apart Florida’s much-maligned defense.  Especially on third down.
