Once upon a time, Timmy Chang was rewriting the Hawaii Rainbow Warrior record books. Chang was the greatest quarterback in Hawaii history. As a result, that makes him a favorite son. Last January, the University of Hawaii faced a College football betting crisis. Coach Todd Graham’s abusive personality triggered a mutiny. And an investigation by the Hawaii State Senate. Subsequently, Graham was forced to resign. And then mama called Chang home. On Saturday night, Chang will lead his alma mater against the Vanderbilt Commodores. Last year Vandy hired its favorite son Clark Lea to jumpstart the program.

Vanderbilt vs. Hawaii CashBet Wagering Analysis
On this occasion, there will be a good amount of Bitcoin Sportsbook action on Hawaii. Timmy Chang’s coaching debut will spark some sentimental cash. Also, Vanderbilt carries no cache with the betting public. The Commodores are the worst program in the SEC. They are so bad that the SEC branding doesn’t apply as it does for the rest of the league.
On the other hand, Vanderbilt will get some support based on how bad Hawaii was last year. Also, the Commodores have a much better roster than the Rainbow Warriors. Vanderbilt may not have an SEC championship lineup. But it’s far better than what Hawaii has.
Clark Lea Tries to Jumpstart an SEC Jalopy
This time it will be different. Specifically, that was the promise that Vanderbilt made to its own Clark Lea. Lea arrived from Notre Dame, where he was the defensive coordinator. Lea is a loyal Vanderbilt alum. But he knows about Vanderbilt’s awful Betting on college football history. Also, Lea knows that Vanderbilt doesn’t invest in the football program. And he demanded that it must to get him to return as head coach. Time will tell if the Commodores get that investment. Their stadium and facilities are the worst in the SEC.
Of course, Vanderbilt has the money to invest in football if they really want to. First, the SEC TV money is the most lucrative deal in college football. Next, Vanderbilt has one of the biggest endowments of any university in the country. Thus, it is not a question of can, but a question of will.
Timmy Chang Faces a Daunting Rebuild
Todd Graham rates as one of the biggest jerks in football. Certainly, he got what he deserved with a forced resignation. His players hated him so much that the roster may have been emptied with transfers.
Nobody loves the University of Hawaii more than Timmy Chang. He has the bet on NCAAF connection to the school that Graham never had. Graham dreamed of using Hawaii as a stepping stone to a “better” job back on the mainland. By contrast, the Hawaii job is Chang’s dream job. Most important of all, Chang will enjoy the full support of the entire state. Something Graham could never generate.
Chang is not a stranger to coaching. He was the receivers coach at Nevada for the past few seasons. However, this is his first head coaching gig. And it is at a cash-strapped school with an outmanned roster and a temporary soccer stadium as its home.
Compared to Vanderbilt, Hawaii has no personnel. Last year the Rainbow Warriors had the worst defense in America. Vanderbilt should be able to run at will. And the athletic Commodore secondary should be able to contain the Hawaii passing attack.
Vanderbilt vs. Hawaii CashBet Free Pick
In this situation, Vanderbilt is one year ahead in development. Clark Lea begins his second betting on NCAAF season with a roster that has more of his players. And it’s a much better lineup than Hawaii has. Chang may spark a football renaissance at Hawaii. But that is years down the line.
