CFB Betting: Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Texas A&M Aggies Information

Arkansas has been one of the most impressive teams in the first month of play.  At the beginning, the Razorbacks were touted as a potential dark horse in the SEC West Division race.  This week the Hogs head down to Jerry World, AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.  Arkansas will renew its NCAAF bets rivalry affair with the Texas A&M Aggies.  Of course, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will be on hand at his palatial football palace.  Jones was a team captain and lineman for the Razorbacks’ 1964 national championship team.

Arkansas vs. Texas A&M CashBet Wagering Analysis

On this occasion, top online sportsbook action will be split evenly.  Both teams have public appeal.  But they also face some public skepticism.  Arkansas is unproven as a consistent national contender.  In comparison, Texas A&M continues to let down gamblers as an overrated and unfulfilled promise.

Hogs Escape Slaughter

Last week, the Arkansas Razorbacks got a scary 38-28 comeback win against the Missouri State Bears as 25.5-point favorites.  The game went over the Betting on College Football total of 60.  Arkansas has a record of 3-0 straight up, 2-1 against the spread, and 2-0-1 over/under the total.

Coach Sam Pittman’s 10th-ranked Razorbacks overcame a 10-point deficit with three touchdowns in the final 11:38 to escape disaster.  Arkansas beat former coach Bobby Petrino and his FCS Missouri State team on Saturday night.  Correlate that Petrino coached Arkansas from 2008-2012.  Before a motorcycle wreck with his paid mistress on board.  Following the scandalous fallout, it resulted in his firing in April 2012.

Last week the Razorbacks didn’t take the lead until Bryce Stephens’ 82-yard punt return touchdown with 9:16 left.  Just 2:22 before that, Arkansas trailed by 10 points.  Previously, Rocket Sanders, who had 242 yards of total offense, had scored on a 73-yard touchdown off a shovel pass from KJ Jefferson.  Jefferson added a 1-yard touchdown run with 1:39 left to set the final score.  Certainly, Pittman was relieved.  And Arkansas averted a catastrophe that would have nuked all of its gains.

Accordingly, Sanders set a career-high for the second straight week in his running for 167 yards on 22 carries with a touchdown.  Jefferson had a personal best, too, throwing for 385 yards.  He had two touchdown passes and an interception with his insurance score on the ground.

Aggies Atone for Appy State Loss

Last Saturday night, the Texas A&M Aggies earned a 17-9 win against the Miami-FL Hurricanes as 6.5-point favorites.  The game went under the bet on NCAAF total of 45.5.  Texas A&M has a record of 2-1 straight up, 1-2 against the spread, and 0-3 over/under the total.

Following the abysmal home upset to Appalachian State, Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher benched quarterback Haynes King for Max Johnson.  In turn, the LSU transfer came through to help the Aggies down the Miami on Saturday night.

Johnson threw for 140 yards and a touchdown in his first start for No. 24 Texas A&M.  Accordingly, the Aggies beat No. 13 Miami 17-9.  Johnson replaced King after his subpar performance in Texas A&M’s stunning loss to Appalachian State last week.  Hence, Fisher believes Saturday’s victory could boost his team as it opens SEC play this week.

Johnson, the starter at LSU last season before transferring to A&M, wasn’t great, completing just 10 of 20 passes.  But he seemed to give the Aggies a shot in the arm after last week’s loss sent them tumbling from No. 6 to No. 24 in the AP Top 25.

In this situation, Texas A&M will seek Betting on NCAAF revenge.  Last year the Aggies lost to the Razorbacks.  This time Texas A&M should prevail with its stout defense.
